Chapter 30

Valeriana's pov

Today was the day I was finally going back to school. My brothers and I missed a week of school. Aurelio was making the guys go back today and I decided I wanted to go back. I didn't want to make-up more homework than I knew I already had. I was also ok to return back.

"You don't have to go, sorellina," Nazario says. I roll my eyes. All of my brothers were trying to get me to stay home.

"I'm fine to go today. Stop trying to get me to stay home. None of you are going to be here so there is no point in having me rest when I don't need it," I say before rushing out of the house.

When I arrive at school. I see my brothers outside with their friends. There was a new person with them. He had black shaggy hair. They all had huge smiles on their faces. After shutting my car door I head to the school entrance.

"Yo, Santorelli!" Ellis shouts. My brothers looked over at him before shifting their gaze over to me when they saw he wasn't talking to them. "I haven't heard that name all week from the principal. What did you do, get suspended again?" Ellis shouted at me. Passing students stared at me. I was still too far from Ellis to have a normal conversation.

"I think suspension would have been better!" I shout at him. I jogged over to him before crossing my arms in front of my chest as I stood in front of him. He was with the football team. They tended to throw the ball to each other while waiting for school to start. Ellis said it was a good way to pass the time. "Where is that sister of yours?" I asked. Ellis' eyebrows furrowed while some of his teammates laughed their asses off. Ellis' eyes widened.

"Fuck off with that!" Ellis shouts. I laughed at him causing him to hit me.

"What's so funny?" Jaylin asked, stopping next to me. Causing me and the guys to laugh harder.

"I was just asking your brother where you were," I state. Jaylin's mouth dropped open.

"Sophie!" Jaylin shouted when she saw Sophie heading into school with her boyfriend. She leaves him before jogging over to us.

"Yeah?" she asked. Jaylin punched her shoulder.

"You just had to tell Valeriana about our parents, you Bitch!" Jaylin grumbled. I shook my head. Sophie began talking about how it didn't seem like a problem they were no longer step siblings. I walk away from them and head towards the door.

"Your friend group is random. You didn't get in with an already made group you formed your own," Lucian says. I look towards my brothers' group. I take a seat on the edge of the stairs. It was a thick ledge so I wouldn't fall off.

"Football player, stoner, a random girl," Valerico says. I raise an eyebrow before looking towards my friends.

"She isn't a random girl. She's the football player's sister," I mutter with a smirk.

"What! I saw them kiss!" Matteo shouted. I laughed while looking at my brother.

"They were step siblings and now their parents are divorced. How fun is that?" I asked. Verena chuckled.

"Anyways this is our other friend Aristo. He has been in Italy visiting family since you've been back. This is our sister Valeriana," Valentino says. I look towards the new member. His eyes were a nice dull green.

"The guys won't stop laughing thanks to you," Ellis says. As he goes to walk into the school with Jaylin and Sophie.

"Wait, so I've been meaning to ask this, it's a serious question... Do your parents know?" I asked. Ellis and Jaylin stop walking before turning to me. "Were you together the whole time your parents were married?"
