FLORENCE'S POV:

There was something about watching a race at home from tv that absolutely stinks. No sound, atmosphere, or feeling. Just feeling helpless in front of a tv. The guys were in Hungary for the week. In two weeks it would be Spa. The little one should be coming somewhere near the off weekend.

My dad would be flying in Wednesday. Pascale was not moving from Monaco until her first grandchild arrives safely. Kelly also moved in for the weekend until Charles returns home.

The baby seemed comfortable at the moment, no fake or real contractions. The doctor's current worry was that the little one could come after the next week and Charles would be in Belgium. According to my OB the baby was comfortable as could be.

The only bright spot between being extremely large, uncomfortable, and virtually housebound was having Kelly around. Plus the only thing I could still do, swim. We had enjoyed a morning dip in the pool before the race, Kelly did her best to not stare at my stomach.

Now we were relaxing on the couch, snacking, and yelling at the TV. More Kelly yelling because the one time a loud sound came out of me I nearly peed my pants.

Max was back in the lead for drivers championship, but Charles was still very much at large for winning it as well if the season continued the same pattern. The racing only proving the point as the two were currently in the top 3, Fernando Alonso and Daniel also in the mix for a podium. We were just shy of halfway through the race, so anything could happen.

"You're lucky we love each other," Kelly said looking over at me.

"What are you talking about?"

She rolled her eyes at me. "Just watch this."

Right as she said that Charles was going for a late lunge outside of Max in turn 4. I could feel myself holding my breath as there was a puff of smoke.

The announcer's were crazy on tv. And Verstappen locks up. Is that contact. There's contact!

I kept my jaw clenched trying to avoid making any sounds, but Kelly let out a scream next to me causing me to jump. The popcorn bowl in my lap stood no chance as it fell to the ground, but I couldn't look away at the moment.

Charles and Max both swerved under the breaks, Charles wheel turning up some grass as we watched on. The announcers continued. Unbelievable. They are both still in the race. I have no idea how.

Max was back in front with Charles close behind like before. I let out a sigh as Kelly mumbled under her breath. "Don't they know they have a son and godson to look after."

I chuckled rolling my eyes at her gender assumption. "Son?"

"Carlos got to me," Kelly smiled looking over to me. "Sheesh Florence, you have popcorn all over you." Her voice was amused.

I threw up a casual hand. "Nothing I can't save," I said moving the bowl and collecting some of the popcorn on my lap. Kelly offered to help me but I shot her down.

I stood up brushing off any bits I couldn't get off me then bent down to grab the large pieces. Something inside me felt like it popped, and oof coming out of me. My pajamas pants quickly telling the story of the pop I felt. I froze standing back up and keeping my hand on my belly.

Kelly had her eyes back on the tv. "Kelly," I said calmly.

She hummed at me pulling her eyes from the tv. "You do need help I told..." She stopped her sentence as soon as she saw me standing awkwardly and my water very obviously broken. "Florence?"

"I think we need to go," I said shocked by the moment.

Kelly stood up coming to my side. "Are you okay?"
