in which you and colby are watching the stars and you fall asleep with him in a hammock
you are laying on the couch with colby. you have your feet rested on his lap and you're both on your phones.
you're getting bored and you want to do something. you drop your phone and start looking around the room, thinking about what you could do.
you look at the window and see the bright moon shining through the blinds.
you spring off the couch
"WANNA GO WATCH THE STARS?!" you ask in excitement.
colby drops his phone and looks at you.
"it's 10 o'clock babe" he says
"EXACTLY."
"but it's been raining all day. where are we gonna sit?"
"WE HAVE A HAMMOCK WE CAN SET UP!"
"but-"
"COME ON PLEASEEE?! WHAT IF THERES SHOOTING STARS TONIGHT"
"fine. i'll go set up the hammock, you get some snacks."
"YAYYYYYY" you yell then kiss his cheek cause you're so excited.
you run off to your room and change into a warm hoodie and sweats before going to the kitchen for some snacks and supplies.
you grab some goldfish, oreos and fill up your stanley with ice water. you look out the window and see colby outside getting the hammock ready.
you get a blanket and flashlight then meet colby outside.
he's already laying in the hammock when you get outside. you set your stuff on a lawn chair then colby taps his chest, signaling you to lay with him.
he opens his arms and you lay on top of him. you turn around a little bit so you're half on him and half in the hammock.
he closes his arms and hugs you tight.
"can you put the blanket over us?" you mumble
colby reaches for the blanket that's on the lawn chair and drapes it over you. he then places a kiss on your head
you and colby look up and watch the sky. eventually colby looks down at you and grins.
its been like 20 seconds and you finally realize that he's staring at you.
"what?!" you ask
"you look so petty that's all!" he smiles again
"thank you!" you smile back.
"look there's the big dipper!" colby shouts and points at it.
you look up in his eyes and see them sparkling under the moonlight and you are in awe.
"you know what that is?" you say sarcastically
"i may be a dumbass but i know what the big dipper is." he giggles
you and colby watch the stars and talk & talk & talk. you eventually get sleepy and you're struggling to keep your eyes open. you slowly fall asleep in his arms.
time skip
colby wants to go inside so he tries to get out of the hammock but can't. you suddenly twitch, colby doesn't want you to wake up because you look comfy so he puts one leg in the grass and starts rocking the hammock back and forth until he knows for sure that you're asleep. he puts his leg back in the hammock and hugs you tighter. "i love you" he whispers. he kisses your forehead then falls asleep with you in his arms
