you've been overwhelmed lately. you're dealing with school, work, hate comments since you and colby just announced you're dating, and the thought of colby not being home since he's going on a work trip w sam in a few days
after a very long day you decide to go to colby's house. he's leaving soon anyway so you're trying to get as much time with him as you can get. in the car, thoughts race through your mind and you start to cry.
you haven't even called to let him know you're coming cause you're too busy crying.
you finally get to his house and rush inside. all the lights were off and that's when you remembered the boys are filming a react vid today so they're prob gonna be in the basement for another hour
you go upstairs to colby's room and you're surprised when you see colby laying on his bed.
without hesitation you walk over and
collapse on top of him, burying your face in his chest as you sob.
"baby what's wrong??" colby asks as he rubs the back of your head and gently pats your back but you just continue to cry and cry and cry
"take your time it's okay." he says softly, not trying to rush anything
it's been five minutes and your tears are still hitting his shirt like bullets.
"baby tell me what's wrong.. you're gonna make me cry"
"i-i thought you w-were filming today" you stutter
"we finished early.. how come you didn't tell me you were coming over?" he continues to rub your back in slow circles
you try to get words out but can't cause you're crying too hard.
"bad day?" colby asks
you weakly nod
"well did you want to talk about it?" he asks softly
"i'm just sick of it." you explain "i'm sick of stupid homework and my job and those jealous 12 year olds. i can't take it anymore." you cry
he helps you sit up to take some breathes, he takes you from under your arms and sets you in his lap, where your head falls in his chest and he begins cradling you like a baby
"shhh everything will be okay." he assures
"h-how do you know?"
"cause i do. you're strong and smart you will get those assignments done in no time and im sure your boss will let you have a day off, you're the best employee, and i know you can ignore those damn teenagers you've done it before."
after minutes of talking, you finally calmed down a bit until you remembered that colby's leaving... the tears start falling again
"ah y/n!" he looks down at you and wipes some of your tears "what now"
"i-i don't want you to go. i'm gonna miss you."
"i'm gonna miss you too babe but i have to go.. this has been planned since summer" he holds you even closer to him
"im gonna miss you" you pout and look up at him
"hey i'll call you every night okay"
"you're gonna be gone forever tho how am i gonna sleep without you"
"we've managed before! you can do it! just sleep with kat like last time"
"it's not the same!"
"tell you what, tomorrow we can do whatever you want. just you and me! then i'll make it up to you when i get back, deal?"
you nod in response and he kisses your forehead
at this point you're so tired after all that crying. you're getting sleepier by the second as he rocks you back n forth.
you place your hand on his chest and start tracing his heart tattoo, not even 5 minutes later you're out.
he picks you up bridal style from his lap then carefully lays you down in his bed. as he tucks you in he notices the makeup dried tears on your face. he runs to the bathroom and grabs a makeup wipe
he very carefully wipes your tear stained skin, trying not to wake you up
after cleaning your face, he crawls in bed next to you and pulls you close to him. "i love you so much" he whispers before kissing your cheek. he falls asleep with you in his arms
