CHAPTER 19

"Don't be ridiculous, me miss you?" I asked as I pointed at myself

"I was actually relieved not seeing your face for a day" I lied and he tilted his head a bit as if examining my face

"Whatever let's get down to business" he said and I thanked God for that

"So why are you here?" I asked as he straightened his school uniform and⁰5 he suddenly looked up at me

"Katie the truth is I've not been entirely honest with you" he said and I rose a brow up

"Really?" I asked and he nodded

"I'm actually a model like you and Kyle and the reason I was able to meet You was because my modelling agency Sent us to New York for a shoot" he said

"Wow, thanks for the honesty but I already know" I said and he sat up in the chair

"You do?" He asked and folded my arms

"I couldn't just trust you when you said you were an agent sent to protect me. I did my own digging and found out about you" I lied when I knew I had trusted him at that instant

"Whatever" he said as he handed me a card.

"What's this?" I asked

"Can't you read" he said rudely and I huffed before looking at the card.

I then gasp as I read what was written on it

"You Mr. Jason Astor have been kindly invited to A.G's holiday collection release at the five star Red Wood Hotel. You get to bring along a plus one to this grand occasion
All invited guests are to comport themselves and not cause any issue that may hinder the purpose of the gathering. Thank you." I read then I looked at him

"We're going to that occasion. At least Kyle wanted us to go so we're going" he said

"How did you know?" I asked and he got up as he took his bag making me also stand.

"I know more than that Katie. " he said

"Just change your look completely tomorrow in a dinner dress and meet me outside your house at five thirty." He said and he was soon out the door.

"How am I supposed to meet him outside at five thirty with your Mom in the house." I asked June facing the ceiling

"That's the problem" she said as she placed a finger on her chin

"But what I don't get now is, does Jace know anything about Kyle?" She asked and I stiffened

"I mean think about this Kate, you just read a message from Kyle about that Agnes person and all of a sudden he's with an invitation to her holiday collection release?" She added and I released a breath I didn't know that I was holding

"As you said June he's a famous model, anyone would want him around when releasing her fashion line" I pointed out but she still didn't look convinced

"So why's he taking you?" She asked

"B-Because it's a.... date?" I said the last part in a whisper but she heard it and she flipped. Like she actually flipped in my room

"OMG I knew something was going on between you two, I mean you call him Jace. Like you're so close" she said

"We're close alright, close enemies" I whispered the last part to myself

"Tell me how you first met, was it romantic?" She asked with her eyes widening

I tried to remember. Our first meet wasn't romantic if you had a stranger haul you on his back and ran. If you'd call the romantic then, yeah.
