WHEN REALITY HITS PERFECT

CHAPTER 23

We arrived at the mission house which was like an apartment filled with both agents and people in need. It was really big and could be mistaken for a mansion

We got in and Nona, the housekeeper gave me a key to one of the empty rooms for the agents.

The place was silent as a cemetery and the lights were out in each room.

Kate was clinging unto my arm like a leech and I smiled not really bothered by it.

I opened the door and closed it behind when she entered and switched the light on. The room was cold as if it were snowing inside, there was a couch and a fridge where some snacks were kept in.

The wardrobe was filled with boy clothes since it was a room for a male agent and the bed was only one.

Kate immediately jumped on the bed
"I call dibs" she said and I rolled my eyes at her as I took a pillow from the bed since they were two and threw it on the couch.

She took off her shoes and wiggled her toes while I smirked as I took a sneak peek at what she was doing. She was such a baby

I unbuttoned my shirt and she looked at me like I was crazy

"Dude, what are you doing?" She asked and I shrugged

"Going to take a shower" I said stating the obvious and fully unbuttoned my shirt before going to the closet for some fresh towels and handed one over to her.

"Every where's so quiet" she said trying to look away from me and I nodded with a smile forming on my lips

"It's light out and with Nona on the watch the place would always be dead silent" I said as I entered the shower and took my bath.

I came out in a shirt and sweatpants feeling fresh as I saw her looking around quietly.

"I'm done" I said and she nodded before sitting on the bed

"Aren't you going to take your bath?" I asked and she frowned

"Why are you forcing me?, its not your body" she stated and I looked at this big baby sitting on the bed

"And when I call you a baby you don't get it. You don't like taking your baths, I wonder if you take you baths regularly" I said and she looked like a big red tomato

She immediately went to the closet, took out a shirt and and ran to the shower. I laughed silently and sat on the couch while on my phone.

After a while when I had heard the shower go off I heard her yell my name

"Jace" she called and I rose a brow up

"What?" I asked still on the couch

"Emm, I left the towel on the bed " she said and I looked up to see that she had indeed left the towel

"So?" I asked and she growled

"What do you mean so?, I need it" she said and I looked back at my phone

"Don't care plus I'm really busy" I said with a smile spreading on my lip while I heard her literally beg me, I think

"Jason Frederick Astor you're so heartless" she yelled

"How do you know my middle names Frederick?" I asked

"Well, I guess that's the only good thing I learnt from your Mom" she said and I nodded understanding that Mom had been yelling Frederick anytime she was drunk and she got drunk too often.

Some minutes passed and I heard the door open.  Shit I forgot about her towel

I got up and looked at a soaking Kate with an expression that said 'I would end you'. From her head to toe was wet and water was dribbing down her legs. Her hair which was parted to her front was just as wet and surprisingly really long.
