Chapter 10

It's been two weeks since demon mages attacked the Wintershadow Empire, and I am here at Wolfsburg Village to offer some help to the villagers.

At kasama ko na si Rosié. Si kuya at Claude ay nandoon sa Wolford Village. Si Hellion at Aidan naman ay nandoon sa Mallowkeep Village. At si Claudia at Amber ay nandoon sa Crystal-Dawn Village.

"Are you not tired, my lady?" Rosié asked me worriedly.

I smiled at her. "I am absolutely alright, Rosié. How about you?" 

She just shrugged her shoulders. "I am not tired, but I am famished."

Natawa ako sa sinabi niya. "We will eat after we finish giving this food and blankets to the villagers. It is almost done, I presume."

Namimigay kasi kami ng mga food package at mga blankets sa mga taga rito dahil nga sa ginawang pag-atake ng mga mages na s'yang dahilan kung bakit may mga bahay na nasunog.

But the royal wizards of this empire have already rebuilt the village and the houses, except for some necessities.

"What's your name?" I asked the cute baby that's been carried by her mother, I guess.

Grabe ang kyut niya!

"His name is Axel, my lady." Sagot ng babaeng kumarga dito.

I smiled at her. "Is he your son?"

She shook her head. "H-he is my brother, my lady."

"Where are your parents?"

She looked at me sadly. "They died a long time ago."

I froze as I heard her utter those words bitterly. "I am so sorry to hear that."

"It's alright." Sagot nito.

I sighed and smiled at her. "What is your name?" I asked her.

"I am Anastasia, my lady," she replied.

"What do you do for a living?"

"I w-worked in a tavern as a waitress." Parang may kung anong tumusok na karayom sa puso ko sa naging sagot niya.

Not because of her job but because she's too young to become a breadwinner.

Sa edad niyang ito dapat nasa eskwelahan s'ya at nag-aaral.

"Will then," panimula ko. "Would you mind working with me? I will help you go to the academy."

Natigilan ito sa sinabi ko. "I dare not, my lady. I live in this empire."

"Is it forbidden?" I asked her.

"It is alright." Agad na napatingin kami sa kung sino ang nag-salita.

At agad na nanlaki ang mata ko nang matantong kapatid pala ito ni Amber.

Yumuko ang lahat ng taong nakapila ngayon.

"Prince Jaden." Bati ko sa kaniya nang makalapit ito sa amin.

He bowed. "Lady Alora."

Tumingin ulit ito kay Anastasia. "It is indeed forbidden for the villagers in this empire and live from the other empires without a valid reason, but if a noble wanted to take you with pure intentions and is trustworthy enough to help you, then it is alright."

Kita ko ang pagkislap ng kasiyahan sa mata ng dalaga dahil sa narinig.

"So, are you going to accept my offer?" I asked her.

She nodded happily. "I-If it's a-alright, then I-I will gladly accept your offer of kindness, my lady. I p-promise to work harder."

"I guess it's settled then." Saad ko.
