June’s perspective

I get home late, after organizing my captains and briefing them. The Elector is going to have a tour of the United Cities soon, and I was accompanying him during the tour as usual.

The doorbell rings and I am shocked to see that standing outside is Anden, the Elector, himself.

“Anden! What brings you here so late?” I ask after I open the door.

“June, I’m afraid I have both good and bad news,” He tells me as we sit down.

“Well, I could really use some good news now,” I reply, thinking about my dream.

“Eden has been accepted for the Batalla engineering position. The bad news is Antarctica has a new leader, Anthony Parker. He won this round of elections and he doesn’t seem to like us very well. He seems to have some sort of bad history with us.”

“So he’s waging war?”

“He might. Or at least plot something evil in store for us.”

“Oh my, and I thought everything was going to be fine after our peace treaty with the Colonies. Plus, Antarctica would be hard to defeat.”

“Yes, June. I’m afraid a new threat is arising, stronger this time.”
