Voila! Here's the Q&A chapter that you guys have been to eagerly waiting for. Side note, these are questions compiled from September of last year and a few months ago. I had so much fun answering your questions. Thank you all for your lovely questions!

What does your writing process look like?

My writing process is basically coming up with an idea, and then noting it down. By noting it down, I mean writing a rough sketch of the main points of the plot. I then go and fill in the blanks later.

A lot of my ideas are actually pulled out of my life, with some tweaking done. So, when I get an idea, I immediately write it down somewhere, whether on my phone or in a notebook. I then work out the plot, and characters, and go from there.

-Any future projects? 😏😏

I love the smirking emojis. Yes, I'm working on future projects. I just released the teaser to my new novel, Phoenix. I'm working on Sonia's diary entries at the moment. I do have another story idea in mind, so we'll see how that'll turn out.

Which, by the way, I wanted to tell you guys something. Just one day after I published the teaser, Phoenix already jumped onto the rankings. It was ranked #1 in the tag #symbolism, out of 1k stories. We also jumped onto the chicklit rankings, ranking #814 in over 25k stories!

That's honestly surreal that we made this big of an accomplishment so fast. I can't thank you guys enough for the love you showed Phoenix already. It's amazing. I'm really excited to be releasing the first few chapters sometime in the next two weeks!

How long does it take you to develop a book's main characters and plot before writing the actual story? (Basically prewriting)

That's a really good question. I can't tell you exactly how long it took me to completely develop the plot for INI, because I started writing INI when I was bored in homeroom, and I had a lot of ideas swarming my mind.

Let me tell you this. NEVER DO THAT. Always plan out your plot. It took me a little over 1.5 years to finish INI. It's a lesson learned.

But with Phoenix, (my chicklit novel) it didn't take me long to develop the plot. It took me about a week to do that. And I'm really glad that I did, because the writing is going really smoothly. With INI, I had so much writer's block because of insufficient planning.

Kids, don't be like Shree when she was writing INI.

-Do you write multiple stories at the same time or do you strictly stay with one at a time?

I used to be very against doing multiple stories at once. To be honest, I still kind of am. I fear that I'll lose motivation on stories, and some I'll finish, while the others I'll lose motivation on. I only started working on Phoenix when I was 100% that I was going to finish INI.

I'm slowly moving away from that, but at the same time, it's still there. I'm working on several stories actually right now, but there was a lot of hesitation when that idea came to my head. I try to split up the workload and time as evenly as possible.

-How do you deal with writer's block and get inspiration?

As I said above, a lot of the inspiration I get is from my life itself. It can be something that happened, something I read or watched, or something that happened to someone else. I got the idea for Phoenix after watching documentaries. I got the idea of INI from a number of factors. Oh my, there were so many.

As for writer's block, I usually let myself relax. When I have writer's block, 95% is because I'm overworked or out of ideas. I kick back, listen to music, and let myself relax so that my mind can rest. I usually get inspiration from talking to Nikki or just listening to music and resting. Other times, I tell myself, "I'm going to write if it kills me."
