Song: (Everything I Do) I Do It For You, by Bryan Adams.

"Who do you think is going to win prom king and queen?" Sophia asks as we drive to the winery. I shrug, as I keep my eye on the road.

"Could be you and me. I have no idea," I say as I drive.

"Well, I hope it's you and me. People have been talking about it nonstop," Sophia says. I smile.

"Maybe. But I hope so too," I say.

When we get to the venue, we can see lots of people taking pictures in front of the winery. Lots of laughter is coming from them, and compliments are being thrown around. However, with that, there has to be a lack of parking, which causes me to drive around for an eternity trying to find a parking spot.

When I find a good parking spot, I park the car, and look over at Sophia. She flashes me a smile, and I place a hand on her shoulder. "Are you ready?" I ask. She nods.

"More than ever," she says, and I get out of the car. I walk over to the passenger's side of the car, where she has already gotten out. Sophia is fixing her dress, and making sure nothing is folded up or wrinkled. Once she is done fixing herself, I hold out my arm. She takes it, and we go inside the winery to where everything is being held.

When we enter the winery, the first things that hit us are the smells of food cooking and our peers' stares. They look at us like we're Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth. Honestly, it makes me a little bit uncomfortable, but when I feel Sophia walking with me, all the tension fades away.

People are piling their plates with salad and bread and saying hello to their friends. The smell of the chocolate fountain perfumes the room, and it makes my mouth water. I'm so glad that we decided to have that this year, because I'm going to go all out.

"Your inner chocoholic is going crazy, isn't it?" Sophia asks, as she eyes the fountain. I nod.

"You know me so well," I say, and before we can extend the conversation, we hear someone yell,

"Ray! Sophia! Over here!" We turn around, and Pete and Sonia are walking together with their dates.

"You guys finally got here! And Pete, you didn't crash the car! Cross that off your bucket list!" I tell him, while Pete rolls his eyes.

"Ha, ha, very funny. But this is awesome, man! You guys went all out! A chocolate fountain, and the food looks really good. Unlike the food that's served in the cafeteria. I swear, it's like prison food. They make school seem like prison," Pete says, wincing a little bit.

"Well, what's the difference?" Sophia asks, and everyone laughs.

"Enough of that. I want food, and I'm starving, despite the fact that my parents made me eat something before I left the house. Russian parents," Sonia says, and Nick turns to her.

"I'll get you some salad and bread. You can find us a table, if you'd like," Nick says, and Sonia nods.

"Sounds good. Thanks," Sonia replies, and she goes to find an empty table for all of us to sit down. I look at Sophia, who is obviously eyeing the buffet tables. The cuisine is a compilation of everything that we find delicious, so I can tell why Sophia's eyeing the buffet table.

"You want food, belle?" I ask. She nods, while setting her purse down on the table.

"Please. I'm so hungry," she groans, while I chuckle. We make our way to the buffet table, where we pile our plates with salad and bread first. Honestly, we all take a little bit of everything, because it all looks really good. For the next half an hour to two hours, we just sit there, eating our hearts out and having the time of our lives.
