Kyoya:

I never should’ve done this……

Madoka:

Fate has been cruel and order unkind.

Kyoya:

How could I have hurt them this way?

Madoka:

The pain was my own

Kyoya:

The punishments mine

Both:

The harmony silence today

Together:

(Madoka) But into that stillness I bring you a song, and I will your company keep, for your tired eyes and my lullabies will softly sing you to sleep

(Kyoya) But into that stillness you brought me your song. And I will your company keep. For your tired eyes and sweet lullabies, will softly repay my debt

Madoka:

Once did a Dragoness who shown like the sun

Looked out on her kingdom and sighed.

She smiled and she said, “Surely there is no dragon,

so lovely or so well beloved as I!”

Kyoya:

Once did a dragon who gleamed like the moon

looked out on his kingdom and sighed.

Rejected, he cried “Surely there is no dragon,

who loves me or loves my beautiful night!”

Madoka:

So great was her reign so brilliant her glory

was as long as the shadow she cast!

Which fell dark upon the husband she loved

and grew only darker as days and nights passed!

Kyoya:

So great was his pain, he rose in rebellion

against those who cared for him most.

He let the nightmare fall on those he ruled,

and threaten to grip them in burden and cold.

Together:

(Madoka) Lullay moon prince, goodnight husband mine, rest now in Moonlight’s embrace

(Kyoya) Lullay sun princess, goodnight wife of mine, rest now in starlight’s embrace

Madoka:

Bear up my lullaby wings of the earth

through cloud and through sky and through space

carry the peace and the coldness of night.

Together:

(Madoka) and carry my sorrow in kind.

(Kyoya) And may my sorrow in kind

Madoka:

Kyoya, you’re loved so much then you know.

Together:

(Kyoya and Madoka) May troubles be far from your mind.

Madoka:

And forgive me for being so blind.

Soon did that dragoness take notice that others

did not give her husband his due.

And neither had she loved him as he deserved.

But stood by and watched as his unhappiness grew.

Kyoya:

Soon did that dragoness do what was demanded

and gave the moonlight his due.

Breaking the harmony, she saved the dragons

and banished him as a wise ruler must do.

Madoka:

But such is the weight of the lime light, it sweetly takes hold of the mind of its host

and that foolish dragoness did nothing to stop, the destruction of one who had needed her most!

Kyoya:

But such is the weight as the crown that we wear

Madoka, duties we always uphold.

May you forgive me that foolishness mine,

and live on with no burden upon your soul.

Together:

(Kyoya) Lullay sun princess, goodnight wife of mine

Rest now in starlight’s embrace.

(Madoka) Lullay moon prince, goodnight husband mine, rest now in moonlight’s embrace

Kyoya:

May this cool lullaby reach you in dreams

and ease you your passage of days.

May my apologies find you this night,

Together:

(Kyoya) and may my sorrow in kind.

(Madoka) And carry my sorrow in kind

Madoka, you love me much more then I knew

Together:

(Madoka and Kyoya) may troubles be far from your mind!

Kyoya:

And forgive me for being so blind.

Together:

(Madoka) The years now, before us.

Fearful and unknown.

I never imagine, I’d face them on my own.

May these thousand winters, swiftly pass I pray

I love you, I miss you.

All these miles away!

(Kyoya) The years now before us,

fearful and unknown.

I never imagined, we faced them alone.

May these sunless seasons,

swiftly pass I pray!

I love you, I miss you.

All these miles away!

Kyoya:

May all you dreams be sweet tonight.

Madoka:

safe upon the bed of moon light

Kyoya:

And know not of heart ache, fear, nor gloom.

Together:

(Madoka) and when I dream I’ll fly away

and meet you there.

Sleep, sleep, sleep.

(Kyoya)And when I dream, I’ll fly away and meet you soon

Sleep, sleep, sleep.
