Love thy neighbor...(Itachi X Reader oneshot)

"Y/N you better not have a boyfriend!"

"Y/N if I only see you talking to any boys!"

"Y/N you better not be hiding a boy in your room!"

"Y/N I swear to god if you even look in a boy's direction!"

That's all you heard come from your father's mouth. His stern voice stuck in your head. You envied the neighbor's kids. They were allowed to go wherever they liked and talk to whom ever. Your father was extremely strict he refused to let you even talk to boys...That is until probably the most annoyingly perfect person moved in next door. He was perfect. Tall, sculpted body, gorgeous face, perfect grades, athletics captain, class president in other words popular, intelligent, athletic and handsome...need I say more? The biggest nightmare! Your dad loved him and believed he would be the perfect way to keep an eye on you. He would call him to babysit you...you're not even a baby. This nightmare had a name it was Itachi Uchiha. He was just another person your dad could compare you to. He also had a brother, Sasuke who was younger and he was almost as popular. Your dad and Itachi were like buddies in your demise.

"Y/N I am going out shopping. Itachi will be over to make sure no one comes here and to watch over you. Can I trust you?"

We both know you don't..."Yes father."

"Good I will be back in two hours time. If I only hear from Itachi that you gave him attitude or back talked or so much as disrespected him you will be punished, Understood."

"Yes father." You said swallowing the lump in your throat. You sometimes felt like your father loved Itachi more than he loved you. You sighed walking up to your room as you collapsed on your bed. A single tear fell down your face as you stuffed your head in you pillow wanting so badly to scream all your problems away. You heard the door opening as the singular voice of your father was now joined by an additional voice that was deep and silky. You ran to the door locking it pretending to be in the shower. You heard a knock, ignoring it as you rolled your eyes. Then you heard another one.

"Y/N I know you are in there...don't pretend you are in the shower or something." You walked over to the door opening it to see the devil himself standing there with his baseball jacket and a devilish smirk.

"What do you want?" You snapped.

"Well I can't check on you if I can't see you now can I?" He said waltzing into your room as he looked around.

"You aren't hiding any boys in here are you?" He said amused.

"You find joy in my pain don't you huh?!...I bet your father is so proud he has you as his kid...well at least you know how that feels right? because I don't...Because you wanna know who my father is proud of? You wanna know who he trusts? You! Its always you!...All I hear him say is Itachi this...Itachi that! But there is a bright side in all of this you know, how can you break someone's trust if you never had it? Maybe I am worthless, maybe I'm trash...Maybe I'm exactly like my mother was to my father? How would I know because all I've ever been is what he says I can be!" You said storming off, tears already shamelessly falling from your eyes.

He just stood there frozen because her never knew all these things and he didn't realize how much all of this broke you. The only reason he did that was because he thought it was funny how overprotective your father was but he didn't realize how heartbroken you were and he couldn't have the only girl he actually fell in love with to feel this way. It amused him how you were so obedient to your father and he loved seeing you squirm because he knew you never had a boyfriend but your father still overreacted. He never realized the porcelain doll was already chipped...

You walked into the kitchen to get a glass of water but as you got the glass from the cupboard it slipped and fell to the floor making an ugly yet relatable sound of breaking.

"You and me both." You said to the glass as you slid to the floor with your head in your hands as your lips emitted a bitter chuckle.

The next thing you felt were two warm hands wiping your tears as you were lifted off the ground in a hug and placed on the counter. The hands made their way rubbing soothing circles in your back as you cried even more.

"I'm so sorry Y/N I never knew how you felt and I just thought it was funny how your father assumed the worst of you. I never meant to make you feel worthless or like trash because you aren't...you are beautiful and obedient, respectful and polite. I am so sorry for all the pain I caused you."

"I-It's okay..." You said looking away as he cupped your face bringing your lips to his.

"What are you doing?" You asked slightly confused.

"I like you...for a while now..." He said as you felt his lips almost touch yours. "Why don't we make all those things your father said come true so he wouldn't be overreacting?" He asked smirking as you leaned closer kissing him passionately.

"If it will make him mad when he eventually finds out then okay." You said as he kissed you again and again.
