Spencer survived the dinner with Derek, without a hiccup. Derek didn't mention anything that made Spencer feel awkward at all, much to his surprise. It felt like old times again. Over recent years, their team had been through a lot, particularly Spencer. That's why this nostalgic felling comforted him.

On Sunday, the day passed similarly. Spencer had finished grading papers before Derek even woke up.

Spencer has picked up on some lazy habits, which he considered to be more efficient rather than lazy, since he had moved to Boston. That is why, when Derek finally wandered out of his room, he found spencer leaning back in an armchair by the large street facing window, dressed in his pyjamas and robe, coffee in one hand and a book in the other.

"Don't you have papers to grade. All you did was go on about it, last night."

"Already done." Spencer took a sip of his coffee. "There is coffee in the pot." He waved his hand in the general direction of the coffee machine. "What time is your flight?"

"Are you trying to get rid of me Reid?" Derek pulled the fakest hurt face he could muster.

"No, of course not. I just assumed you would want to be back at work for Monday morning." Spencer spoke to Derek, but his eyes didn't leave the page he was engrossed in.

"Do you want the good news or the bad new first." Derek half sniggered in expectation of Spencer reaction to what he was going to say.

"Bad news." Spencer was unsure where this was going.

"You are going to have to make an extra cup of coffee tomorrow morning.

"And the good news?" Spencer asked, still not comprehending what Derek intended.

"Surprise, I'm running a practical workshop tomorrow." Derek raised his hand in the air while making his revelation.

"Woah. Okay then. I didn't realise you... What I mean is, you find college kids insufferable." Spencer finally let his hand that held the book drop by the side of the armchair.

"I know, but I'm making an exception just this once."

"Why is that?"

"Ah. Just wait and see." Derek left Spencer to peer out of the window and went to pour himself his coffee. "By the way, I expect you to be there."

"I have already graduated. Why do I have to suffer through the class?" Spencer groaned theatrically.

"Hey. Hey. Moral support."

"Fine. You know I was going to come anyway."

"I know that too." Derek flashed a grin at Spencer.

Just as Derek finished his sentence the rumble of a series of cars drifted through the open window.

Spencer, who was already looking out the window, sat up straighter in his seat to get a better view. He witnessed five black SUVs slow to a stop in the street below them. By this time Derek had also ambled over to the window to investigate.

"What's going on?" Derek asked, rhetorically.

From one of the SUVs, a woman in a black suit stepped out and entered the apartment complex across the street. She returned moments later. Only now she wasn't alone. There were six people in tow. Spencer immediately recognised Gia in the group. Her raven hair was unmistakable even from a height, but even more so against her neutral outfit.

One by one the group began filing into different vehicles, after a short conversation with the woman in the black suit. Spencer could see Gia stood patiently. He also adjusted himself an stood up from the armchair and leaned against the window frame.
