tw: drinking
nini looked at herself in the mirror as she adjusted her outfit, taking a deep breath as she took her purse and made her way out of her room
"alright let's go," she breathes,
"you sure you up for a party?" gina and maya ask cautiously
nini nodded "yep, let's go!"
the two girls exchanged looks before taking a deep breath and following nini out of the apartment and down to the car where gina drove the three to the party venue
it was just on the outskirts of town and the house was filled with different people walking in and out, holding cups of drinks and talking or dancing
"i'm having flashbacks to senior year," gina sighs as maya and nini laugh, the three of them exiting the car and making their way in
"over here guys!"
they turn to see big red standing in the living room with ricky, kourtney, ej and ashlyn
ricky looked up and his eyes locked with nini's seeing how tired she was. he couldn't stop himself from seeing how pretty she looked though...
"hey babe," maya beams, kissing him on the cheek
he moved his gaze away from nini and smiled at his girlfriend, putting an arm around her shoulder while nini fiddled with her fingers
"uh-w-where's lucas?" she manages to ask
"he couldn't come," ej answers "he said he had a bit of work to do,"
"oh," nini croaks out, avoiding ricky's gaze which was on her
"you okay?" gina whispers
nini gave her a small smile and nodded lightly "i'm just-going to get a drink..."
ricky watched as nini walked off towards the kitchen and sighs
"yeah i don't think she should've come..." he says
"we didn't either," maya replies
"yeah i don't think she's in the right headspace," ashlyn frowns
"where are seblos?" gina asks, the others chuckling
"they left." ej answers, gina nodding
"yeah i don't want to know where," big red says, everyone laughing
"oh my god em it's our song let's go dance!" kourtney and ashlyn squeal as maya laughs and the three go to the dance floor
ricky shakes his head with a smile and his eyes trail off to where nini went and he glances back to his friends
"i'll go check on her," gina assures him, making her way towards the kitchen
she saw nini downing a cup of something, making the girl cough slightly and grimace before putting the cup down and pouring herself another
"neens," gina sighs as she goes to take the cup away from her, but nini pulls it back
"stop!" she groans
"neens, drinking away your feelings won't help. how many did you even have?" she asks
"only four." nini shrugs, stumbling slightly
gina widens her eyes "four cups of tequila?!"
"yes." nini nods "it tastes nice now."
"neens-"
"i'm only a little tipsy gigi," nini laughs bitterly "don't worry!"
"you never drink nini," gina reminds her "plus what if-"
"you should take a drink and chill gi," nini interrupts "i'll drink if i want to,"
gina watched as nini walked out of the kitchen, sighing in defeat before seeing ricky and ej walk in
"where's nini?" ricky asks
"uh-she-went dancing..." gina says quietly, ej catching on that something was up - but he didn't press the matter
"okay," ricky nods in slight relief
"shots!"
they hear cheers from the other room and ricky and ej glance at gina in question to join them and she takes a deep breath and shrugs her shoulders
"sure," she breathes, taking her boyfriend's hand as ricky and the two made their way to the living room

nini kept dancing on the dance floor with a carefree feeling as the alcohol rushed through her veins, all her worries and troubles leaving her. everything that had happened with lucas was out of her mind for the night and she needed that.
she wasn't completely drunk, maybe a little tipsy, but she was completely aware of her surroundings.
just as she started feeling her stomach turn, she decided to try and find the bathroom, walking down a hallway
just then she stumbles forwards into someone's arms, who stumbled back themselves from shock
"woah-" he chuckles, nini instantly knowing who it was
"ricky!" she exclaims
ricky raised his eyebrows "you're drunk." he points out
"i'm not drunk! your drunk." she says rolling her eyes
ricky shrugs his shoulders "i guess a little,"
"me too." she mumbles, sitting down on the floor against the wall
ricky slides down next to her, keeping his head facing in front of them
"tequila is nice." nini says out of the blue
"i know right?" he agrees
nini turned her head to look at him, her heart racing just at the sight of him.
when ricky felt a pair of eyes on him, he turned his head for their eyes to meet and smiled slightly
"what?"
"i like looking at you," she says simply, never tearing her gaze away from him
ricky felt the alcohol rush through his veins as he opened his mouth "me too,"
they both just stayed their, their eyes on each other before nini noticed ricky taking a quick glance at her lips
she did the same, her eyes never leaving them before she scooted closer, their faces inches apart and she could sense ricky's breathing hitch
"i like you ricky," she whispers
he kept his eyes on her for a few seconds before glancing back down at her lips and back up at her eyes "really?"
she nodded silently and not being able to help herself anymore, she closed the gap between them, ricky kissing back instantly as their lips moved in perfect sync and they both felt the adrenaline and alcohol rush through their veins, tasting the tequila.
nini placed a hand on his cheek as ricky brought his hand to her waist, her shivering at his touch - it was almost a wake up call as the two of them quickly pulled back at the same time, both in shock towards what they just did.
