Thrill
I felt a thrill today
It was unlike anything I had ever felt in my entire life
And by far the best feeling I've ever felt
It hurt when it first pierced my skin
But the deeper it went the better it felt

Out
Then in again
I figured it would hurt in the morning but I wouldn't mind
I was using one pain to distract myself from another and for all I knew that was pretty clever

Out
Then in again
When I saw the blood dripping, I got a feeling I can't explain
It was a feeling of pleasure mixed with regret wrapped together by a little pain

Out
Then in again
A lone tear fell from my eye
What had I just done?
What is happening to me?
Do I really need to be doing this?
Couldn't I have just continued to wait?
Until the day that I was sure that I could handle everything that comes after the pain?
In
Out
Then in again
If I die now would it be that bad?
Isn't that what I wanted for so long?
Maybe
I'll just slit the vein
And say goodbye to all the trouble
And all the pain.
Maybe this will be my last day here
And just maybe I'll never have to live another day.
