You
First time I saw you I felt something.
I didn't understand it,
And I didn't want to.
I saw your eyes and I wanted more,
I wanted to know everything.
Wanted to know who hurt you,
Wanted to know your filthiest secrets,
Your most embarrassing moments.
I wanted to know what made you sad,
I wanted to know what made you happy.
I wanted to know what made you,
You.
First time I saw you I felt something.
I didn't understand it,
And I didn't want to.
You smiled at me and I knew I wanted to see that smile every day,
Your voice was a sound I knew I could get used to.
And
When I looked at you,
I could feel my soul reaching out to touch yours.
First time I met you I felt something.
I didn't understand it,
And I didn't want to.
It was as if a figment of my imagination had come to life.
And though I knew nothing about you or who you were,
I felt as if I had known you my entire life.
First time I met you I felt something.
I didn't understand it,
And I didn't want to.
It was unlike anything I had ever felt,
And even after the moment had passed,
I never stopped feeling what I felt.
You were tattooed on my mind,
And no matter what I did, who I was with or where I was,
Not a minute went by that I didn't think of you.
First time I met you I felt something.
I didn't understand it,
And I didn't want to.
In that moment I knew I was up for something,
Because it was as if you had captured my heart,
My mind
And
My soul
Without even knowing or trying.
