In the End

I decided then that it was time for a change,

I had been thinking about it for a while,

But I just never had the right muse or amount of time to go about it,

I talk about letting go all the time,

And changing,

And accepting change,

But had I done anything to bring about this change?

No, no I had not

But I will now,

Because of you,

I'm doing it for me,

But I'm doing it because of you,

I want to know what it feels like to love myself,

Then after I learn that, I might learn to lend you some of my love,

And maybe I'll allow you to love me when it's all said and done.

But until then I'll just take my few steps to change myself,

Because to be honest that's all that will matter in the end.
