Fall
She smiles as she stands
The sky is red as the sun dips
In the distance she sees the moon
And it hits her that her time is near
She runs to the edge and she breathes in
Fresh air fills her lungs as it begins
With each breath of air comes another thought
She thinks that if she ended it all then she'd be okay to stand
On her two feet and not feel like there is no future out there in which she belongs
She spreads her wings and she soars
Her head once filled with lightning and thunder is now still with wonder of what is to come
She relaxes and lets it all go
She doesn't open her eyes but she knows in her heart the fall is beautiful
For she knows if she opens her eyes she will want to smile and land on her two feet as the red sky turns grey
But she knows it's better this way so she falls and falls until she feels no more.
