Challenger's arrival

After a few days of walking , Ash and the gang finally arrived to Lumiose city. Ash was as excited as ever to compete on the league and was ready to show Kalos what he and his pokémon could do. It was early in the day and Ash was doing the final bit of training before the league and Gary came with him while the others stayed back at the pokecenter.

"Finally... today we will show Kalos what were made of right guys?" Ash told his pokémon who were just as pumped as he was

"There's a lot of potential this time around Ashy-boy so don't mess everything up again" Gary said from behind Ash trying to mess with him

"Oh you will see me do well Gary" Ash told Gary with a smirk

"We'll see" Gary said chuckling 

"Hey Ash!" 

Ash and Gary then turn around to see Alain approaching them

"Who is that guy?" Gary asked not knowing who it was

"That's Alain! He's a powerful trainer with a mega Charizard!" Ash exclaimed waving at Alain

"Mega Charizard?!" Gary said surprised

"Yes and its quite powerful"

Alain finally reached the duo and greeted them

"Its been quite a long time Ash"

"It has!"

"I'm guessing you are going to compete"

"I am and I am confident that I will be able to get very far with the help of my pokémon"

"Then I can't wait for your battles" Alain said smirking

"And are you a friend of Ash's?" Alain asked turning to Gary

"Yea we're friends but also big rivals since the start" Gary said with a proud look 

"Ah well its nice to see another of Ash's friends"

"So what brings you here Alain?" Ash asked grabbing Alain's attention

"The league of course since I'm going to be part of it"

"Wait you are competing?" Ash asked surprised

"Yea and hopefully we will have a battle"

"I hope so too"

"Well I will see you guys over there so goodbye Ash and his friend" Alain said while walking past them

"Wow he seems like a cool dude" Gary told Ash

"He is and now I am even more pumped for the league!"

"Same old Ashy-boy keeping his excitement and energy"

"Hey you haven't changed much either" Ash told Gary with an angrier tone

"Fine I will admit to that..." Gary responded as then both he and Ash began to laugh

Ash and Gary then walked to the nearby pokecenter so that they could meet up with the others and head towards the stadium where Ash would compete

"Hey Ash do you know what to do after the leagues?" Gary asked

"No... I haven't given it much thought" Ash answered deep in thought

"Well maybe you could work your way into the world coronation series!" Gary exclaimed

"What's that?" Ash asked confused

"Its a worldwide tournament where every battle you win you get put into categories and at the very top is the monarch which at the moment the title is held by the unbeatable Leon" Gary explained
