Thank you for everything you do

The next morning

~~ The morning after the league ~~

Ash woke up before everyone and walked to the entrance of the room. He felt strange and weirdly calm. He looked back to his trophy and smiled knowing that this wasn't his last victory and that he was now aiming for even higher. Ash saw Pikachu wake up and run towards him confused of why Ash was up a little earlier than usual.

"Don't make so much noise or you will wake them up" Ash whispered to Pikachu as he left the room and closed the door taking Pikachu with him

"Pika?"

"Nothing buddy it's just that I couldn't sleep more... I guess I'm still a little in shock of our win yesterday" Ash told Pikachu trying to not make him worry

"Now that I think about it, we haven't called mom to tell her about the Kalos League!" Ash realized as then he ran to call his mom as quickly as possible

Ash saw that there was one missing call from his mother and he felt bad that he didn't answer her back until now. He called her and waited a bit to see if she picked up

"Mom!" Ash exclaimed seeing his mother on the screen

"Hello dear" Delia said happy to see her son again

"Mom I'm so sorry for not calling you earlier I... was distracted" Ash said scratching the back of his head

"It's ok dear, I know you probably had a lot going through your head" Delia said with a nice tone

"I did... Right Pikachu?"

"Pika..." Pikachu mumbled

"But tell me how it felt to win the league! How did you feel?"

"Well, I was shocked... it took me a while for me to realize that I did actually win" Ash said a little more seriously

"Well, I am proud of you son and I am very happy that you won" Delia told her son with a smile

"Thank you mom" Ash said smiling at her mother while Pikachu stared happily

"Professor Oak told me Gary was with you"

"He is but everyone is sleeping right now" Ash explained

"Really? Did you wake up early?" Delia asked

"A little... I guess I still have the energy from yesterday" Ash responded a little nervously

"Well then tell them I said hello" Delia said with her charming smile

Ash told his mom everything he went through in Kalos and the great friendships he made although he didn't mention anything about his relationship with Serena. He told her everything about the league and how he felt after every battle.

"That's so nice to hear dear! And what are you doing after this?"

"What do you mean?" Ash asked confused at his mother's question

"After Kalos... what are you aiming for?" Delia asked curiously

"Gary told me about something called the world coronation series so I might do that" Ash said with a little bit of excitement in his voice

"Well, I will be wishing you luck on your new journey but come visit your mother first"

"I will mom" Ash said laughing a little

"Goodbye dear"

"Goodbye mom" Ash said as he hung up and turned to see Serena behind him

"Hello there" Serena suddenly spoke trying to scare Ash and made him flinch
