When Taehyung woke up the next morning, his father was already home. He was cooking noodles in the kitchen. Thin wheat noodles simmered in a rich tomato broth garnished with chopped onions while two eggs sizzled on the frying pan. A mouth-watering scent filled the air, greatly whetting the appetite of anyone who smelled it in the early morning.

Taehyung leaned against the kitchen door and swallowed his saliva.

Principal Kim got shocked when he turned his head casually and saw him. "Why do you have a mustache?"

Taehyung patted his head. "Forgot to wash it off."

Having said that, how did he fall asleep last night? Taehyung searched his memories and the only impression he had was of him lying on the sofa watching television. Jungkook that lunatic who was fond of old people's hobbies had stolen her remote control.

Then, he seemed to have fallen asleep after that.

As for how he moved from the sofa to the bed...

Taehyung immediately felt his cheeks getting a little warm. Ruffled, he raised a hand and rubbed his neck.

He turned to wash up. Principal Kim topped the pot with more hot water and took out additional noodles to the add-in. He asked, "How much do you want to eat?"

Taehyung did not even turn his head as he replied with confidence, "I'll eat however much you cook"

Principal Kim, "..."

When he came out of the washroom, the cooked noodles were already served on the table. The father-daughter duo sat down for breakfast. Taehyung asked his father, "Where's mom?"

"She just fell asleep after being busy for the whole night. I'll cook for her again when she wakes up."

Taehyung was slightly resentful. "Always out taking care of the motherland's flowers and ignoring the flower at home."

Principal Kim was tickled. "You have a pretty high opinion of yourself." He suddenly thought of something and asked Taehyung, "I just filled up the fridge and found it nearly empty this morning. Tell me, did you sell the things inside because you're tight on money?"

Taehyung almost choked on his noodles. After coughing for some time, he looked at his father with dissatisfied eyes. "Am I someone with such a terrible character? ...I merely invited some schoolmates over for hot pot."

"What a modest description. Are you sure you didn't invite an elephant over for hot pot?"

The reason why Principal Kim did not believe him was because the kitchen and living room were simply way too clean. He could not have known that this was due to Jungkook and Eunwoo's diligent and meticulous efforts at cleaning up. They had even thrown the rubbish before they left.

"So that's how you think of me." Taehyung was deeply hurt. "All right, since I know you don't want me anymore, I shall go find my grandparents in a while."

Principal Kim knew that he was going to tell on him. He waved his chopsticks. "Fine, fine, fine. Eat your food. Don't go around causing trouble for me over the New Year."

"That said, I'm certainly a little tight on money now. How about you lend me some allowance money first? I'll return it to you when I get my red packet money. I'll give you a hundred and one won for every hundred won."

"You're here to collect debts from my past life."

After pestering his father for the better part of the morning, he managed to pester him for two hundred won.

During the day, he did some physical exercises in his neighborhood and inline skated around for a while. Even though inline skating was a substitute training method, there were still differences between solid ground and ice. It was important to retain familiarity with the ice surface, the so-called 'feel' of the ice.

Taehyung touched the two pathetic bills in his pockets, at a loss where he could go to ice skate. Then, Jungkook that fellow messaged him unexpectedly.

Jungkook sent him a link to an amusement park. The amusement park was newly-built in their city and had a huge Ferris wheel that looked stunning. At the base of the Ferris wheel was an outdoor ice rink.

This was a pretty nice place that was both attractive and crowded. Tempted, Taehyung scrolled down for the ticket prices and his vision immediately went black.

An amusement park? More like a bandits' lair! This was daylight robbery!

When ordering takeout today, I got lucky and managed to win two evening-entry tickets.

Say it, what do you want me to do before bringing me to have fun.

Call me something pleasant.

Daddy!
