Jungkook turned and found tears rolling down Taehyung's face. His heart aching, he pulled Kim into his arms and stroked its head gently. "It's, it's okay."

Yukhei walked over and said, "Have you two forgotten that everyone in the country recognizes you?"

Jungkook raised his head and found several receptionists and two guests had taken out their phones and were currently filming them.

Taehyung was slightly embarrassed. He wiped his tears and mumbled, "Let's, let's talk upstairs."

Jungkook held Taehyung's hand and walked toward the elevator. When he passed by those people, he said, "Please don't post this onto the internet or send it to your friends."

Those people did not expect Jungkook to say this so politely to them. He was completely different from what was said on the internet. The merits of a good-looking person were always magnified. Thus, everyone nodded, "Got it, got it!"

Yukhei watched their leaving figures. He lowered his head and smiled. When they turned and disappeared around the corner, he fished out his phone and texted: I'm going back.

......

Taehyung brought Jungkook back to his room. Jungkook sat on the chair but Taehyung did not sit. He stood in front of him with a lowered head, like a primary school student who had made a mistake.

He had stopped crying but his tears had yet to dry. Tiny beads of tears hung from his fine and long eyelashes, looking like fragmented pieces of sparkling diamonds.

It looked like Taehyung had been startled badly as well.

Jungkook had the urge to laugh but at the same time, he was touched. His heart feeling bittersweet, he tugged Taehyung's hand and pulled him down to sit on his thighs.

Taehyung was exceptionally docile as he sat on Jeon's legs. He leaned into his embrace and with his head turned, rested his temples on the edge of Jungkook's forehead. He stretched his hands behind to embrace him as well.

Then, he told him what happened in detail from beginning to end.

Jungkook hugged him and stroked his back now and then. His actions were slow and gentle, meant to comfort Taehyung through and through. After he finished confessing, Jungkook lifted his head slightly and looked Taehyung in the eyes. He asked gently, "Why didn't you tell me earlier?"

"I saw that you weren't in a good mood." Seeing that Jungkook was about to speak, Taehyung raised his hand and covered Jungkook's lips. "I admit that I shouldn't have lied. But I didn't lie because of Yukhei. I lied because of you."

Jungkook held his wrist and lowered his hand gently. He said, "I don't like being deceived. From now on, no matter what happens, let's be honest with each other, okay?"

Taehyung nodded. "Mm... But Jungkook, I was quite upset about one thing as well."

"Mm?"

"Why did you think that I don't love you? Don't you have any trust in me?"

Jungkook did not reply. His head was lowered in silence for a while. Then, he said, "Recently, so many people have said that they were disappointed in Jungkook."

When Taehyung heard this, he heartfelt a piercing pain. He tightened his arms. "Jungkook..."

"But," Jungkook interrupted him. "There is only one person that Jungkook himself is afraid of disappointing."

Taehyung's eyes reddened. Moved and his heart aching for the ravenette, he cupped Jungkook's face and lowered his head to kiss him.

Jungkook raised his head and responded tenderly.

......

No matter how strong someone appeared, they would have times of weakness and unease as well. In particular, their unease would be magnified in front of the person they like. The more they cared, the more terrified they were. The more important the person was, the more terrified they were of losing him or her.

Taehyung wanted to tell Jungkook that he would never be disappointed in him.

......

On Singles' Day, Taehyung gave Jungkook a call. "Let's celebrate as well."

"How?"

"Are you free tonight?"

"Yes," Jungkook said and laughed. His laughter was loaded with meaning.

Taehyung ignored his annoying tone and gave a proper reply. "Let's take a stroll down Itaewon Street."

At this point, Jungkook did not enjoy going to crowded places. He asked, "Take a stroll for?"

"To have fun. What other excuse do we need for a stroll?"

"Shall we watch a movie?"

"No, I'm in the mood for strolling."

Fine, since he was the boss, a stroll it would be.

They arranged to meet at the entrance of Itaewon Street at 7 pm. Jungkook headed over from the club and arrived slightly earlier. He waited for Taehyung with his hands slotted in his pockets. He was covered tightly from head to toes and wore a cap and a mask. He stood at one side of the street and was bored stiff as he glanced at passers-by.

At 7 pm sharp, Taehyung had yet to arrive. Jungkook popped into a corner store selling rabbit heads, intending to buy a few of Taehyung's favorite snacks.

He ordered two numb and spicy rabbit heads and two five-spice powder seasoned rabbit heads. When the shop assistant was packing the rabbit heads, out of the blue, he stopped all movements and stared into the distance across the street.

At the same time, numerous people outside gasped and broke into murmurs.

When Jungkook raised his head curiously to take a look as well, he was stunned.

On the tallest building in Itaewon across the street— the enormous LED advertising board was refreshed.

Jungkook,

You'll always be my ultimate hero.

Taehyung
