Alex rolled over and sighed, wanting nothing more than to feel the warmth of her husband on the other side. When she landed on the empty side, her eyes opened. She sat up and looked around, realising just how empty her room seemed without him. He was on business trip in Barbados and had been gone for a week and a half. He was due back early the next morning and the only thing Alex wanted was to have him back.

"Mommy!" A soft smile graced her face as her son ran towards her. She picked the little boy up and brought him towards her.

"Good morning honey. How'd you sleep?"

The little boy gave her two thumbs up signs. "Good!"

"That's good! Hey, you wanna help me make breakfast before aunt Lexis comes?" Jeremiah nodded and raced down towards the kitchen. Alex followed him down, the smile never leaving her face.

Her life had been nothing but pure bliss since the birth of Jeremiah Curtis Arden. She felt as if she had the perfect life. A loving husband, a beautiful son and an amazing job. Although she'd had to take maternity leave, upon her return and the success of many of her projects, she'd been promoted. Everything was going extremely well for her.

Hours later as she sat watching TV with her son, she heard a knock at the door and skipped towards it. When she opened it and saw her twin on the other side, she frowned. "Damn, I thought it was Jason."

"Now how would that work when he's probably boarding the plane as we speak?" Alexis retorted, stepping inside the home and removing her fur coat. "This thing is so damn warm."

"Lexis, you're wearing a fur coat on top of what looks like three layers, of course you're warm."

Alexis waved her off. "Where's my nephew? Jeremiah!" Jeremiah came running out of the living room and lifted his arms and the exact moment Alexis hoisted him up into the air.

They walked back into the living room as Alexandra's phone chimed. She raced towards it, expecting a call from Jason. She hurriedly answered. "Hello?"

"Happy valentine's day." She grunted. "Really boo? I'm just tryna be nice but goodness."

"I'm sorry Mya, I just thought you were Jason. I haven't heard from him all day which is quite irritating."

"He's probably just trying to wait till the moment he sees you tomorrow. Make you want it more and all that."

She rolled her eyes. "Make sure I want what more, Mya?"

"You know... Make sure you want that good good loving just that little bit more." Alex threw her head back and laughed loudly.

"Whatever Mya! What was the purpose in your call, anyway?"

"I just wanted to call and see how you were coping knowing that your other half will be reunited with you tomorrow."

Alex pushed the hair out of her face. "I'm doing fine, Mya. Let me call you back, I think Alexis is playing a little too rough with Jeremiah again."

"Okay. Bye, Lex. Happy Valentine's Day again!" She hung up the phone and returned to her sister and her son.

Around 8pm, Alex was getting restless. Jason hadn't called her at all and she was not only missing his voice but was quite worried as well. Alexis had ended up falling asleep whilst reading to Jeremiah so she didn't want to wake either of them up.

Not only was she getting impatient, but she was getting annoyed. All she wanted was a call. All she expected from him was a call. Even a text would have sufficed! It was after all Valentine's Day! She took another shower in the hopes that it would leave her feeling more relaxed.
