Billy chewed his lip as he waited for Courtney.

He smiled dreamily thinking how his sunshine chose to take his name as her own.

The minutes ticked on. The bride was nowhere to be seen.

He started to worry.

He ended up watching "Runaway Bride" the night before with his god brothers and Freddy.
Clark's idea.
Revenge for breaking his jaw, probably.

What if Courtney got cold feet?

From the corner of his eye, he could see his best man Freddy trying very hard to keep a straight face. Clark had the most innocent boy scout expression sitting between Mr Morris and Lois.

What if Albert Rothstein made Court change her mind?

Scanning the pews, he saw Al flirting blatantly with Fire in her civilian identity. Al's moved on.

Minutes ticked on. It was almost an hour and still no sign of the bride.

The guests were getting restless.

Panic began to set in.

What if Darkseid's minions got her?

What if the Injustice League or the Monster Society if Evil kidnapped her.

What if...

The band played their wedding march.

In one heart stopping moment, he saw Courtney. His sunshine dazzled in her wedding gown.

Her step dad Pat escorted her down the aisle where she took her place beside Billy.

"Sorry I'm late," she whispered. "Had to stop a bank robbery."

That's Court for you, he grinned to himself. "I'm relieved you made it." He beamed.

At long last, Billy and Courtney exchanged their wedding vows and rings in the presence of their loved ones.

"You may kiss the bride," said the officiant.

Gently, Billy lifted Courtney's veil.
He caught his breath.

She was radiant.

"You're so beautiful," he murmured.

Bending over, Billy held Courtney's waist as he swept her off her feet with a long, breathtaking kiss.

The mouthwatering smell of bacon, eggs and grilled tomatoes welcomed Courtney back from her dreams.

Last night was utterly amazing. She was sore all over. In a good way.

She couldn't help smiling as she stretched like a lazy cat, watching her boyfriend. No, now he's her hubby, at the fire cooking breakfast.

Her Billy had shot up again.
Now, he's as tall as Captain Marvel, his shoulders almost as broad, though he was still skinny, in a muscular way.

He turned and smiled shyly. His brilliant blue eyes gazed into her soul.

Her heart skipped a beat.

"Hungry?" He grinned as he flipped a pancake.

"Mmm hmmm..." Vanilla cinnamon scent of the pancakes made her drool.

She slipped out of bed and walked to the kitchen island, sitting beside Billy so that they could watch the sun rise over the sea together.

Their honeymoon's at a beach resort. Something lazy. A much needed break from their hectic schedules.
