The First Meet

A Random Day of 2017
Dubai

Sara's POV: I cannot believe I have been convinced to accompany Arjun to Dubai for "his" training sessions for which "he" has been selected. Maa Baba had to be in US and I knew it was important, so coudln't help. Like seriously, Arjun very well knows how to convince me. He knew even if he makes that puppy face once in front of me, I will give up and will do anything for him. Anyways, it's Dubai so might turn out to be fun only. I have few school and grad friends from there so I might just go and see them. Mazaa hii aayega shaayad. Let's hope.

Shubman's POV: Shahneel had exams so obviously I knew I will be accompanied by Jugnu. What do I say about him, he is my friend, my brother, mera yaar hai vo. We started for Dubai and I was told some 20-30 budding Indian cricketers were to be a part of this training. I was so excited to learn new things, make new friends and sharpen my skills. The flight was comfortable, Jugnu and I kept on checking out the beautiful Air hostesses in the flight because we all know, little fun never harmed anyone :)

Sara's POV: Been 2 days since we have come to Dubai. Honestly, I am following exactly the same routine that I was following in India. Lol! Wake Up, Binge Watch, Work out a bit, Eat, Sleep and Repeat. The only difference was in Mumbai I was doing all this at my home, here it was at a 5 star hotel. I had been thinking to call up my friends and pay them a visit, may be.

"Knock Knock" Arjun entered.

"Hey! Do you wanna join me today for my session?" Arjun asked excitedly.
"Why? Isn't this enough that I am here to support you! Sara replied in sarcasm.
"What kind of person you are ? You are here with some 20-30 hot dudes, you don't want to even meet them ? Seriously ?" Arjun questioned.

"Yeah! None of them would interest me because they all are YOUR friends. I might be interested in a boyfriend but not a spy from my brother" Sara replied.

"Lol! I doubt anyone of them would be interested in you! Anyways, sabke +1 aa rahe hain to watch today's session, I thought you could come for it too?" Arjun asked hesitatingly.

My baby brother! I so loved him. As much as I wanted to say NO to him, his puppy eyes worked again and Idk how I ended up saying "Okay, let's do that" I have always loved Cricket so why not!

Shubman's POV: What amazing days I have been having. Only grateful for all the opportunities. The coaches here have a lot of expectations from me, they keep telling I am one of the best among the lot that has come this time. I have to live upto all these expectations, there is nothing more important for me.

Sara's POV: I reached the training court and it was a really overwhelming feeling. It felt like I was back to my childhood days, I used to come with Baba for such sessions. It was nostalgic for me. Arjun started introducing me to his fellow mates. All of them well groomed , well behaved, young talented guys. It was turning out to be a fun experience. I got to meet their parents, siblings, friends basically all their +1s too.
Suddenly Arjun called out for me, "Sara, come here please."
I turned to him and started walking towards him, Arjun was there, and with him there was another 6"ft man standing with confidence and so many dreams in his eyes.
Arjun introduced us, "Sara, this is Shubman, my fellow mate here. Shubman, this is Sara, my sister."

"Hi Sara" he said in his Punjabi accent while extending his hand for a hand shake. A smile inmediately came on my face.
"Hey Shubman, nice meeting you" I replied and extended my hand too.
It was a firm handshake, we looked into each other's eyes for initial few seconds while Arjun kept blabbering something. The first thing I noticed in him was his dimples. They were cute. Soon I realised I might have to let go of his hand and I did the same. It was not like I had never seen someone like him, I had been in London for many years now and I usually had crushes on tall guys only, Idk why. But yes, there it was Okay for me to be vocal about it, but here, it was not about me, I had come with Arjun and everybody knew Baba when it came to Indian Cricket. I have to live upto these names and anyways, he is just another handsome looking man ;)

Shubman's POV: It was just another day at the practice. I saw a girl entering the court. I have always had an eye for beauty but when I saw her for the first time, it felt like something changed. I had seen her pictures in magazines and on social media. Obviously I inmediately knew who she was, I mean she had walked into that room with Arjun and it felt like everything else in that room had paused since then. It felt like people in the room, after her entry, were only pretending to be engaged in their respective works, while everyone clearly only wanted to catch one glance from her. It will not be wrong if I say I have beeen playing cricket because of Sachin Tendulkar. Arjun is my friend now. I have known him for 2 years almost, Idk why I was thinking all that. It was then when Arjun came to me and said "Hey buddy, Sara is here with me today, let me introduce you guys"

Arjun called her name out, she started walking towards us and I kept on looking at her. Arjun introduced us, I somehow managed to say Hi and when she reciprocated my greetings, it felt like I had passed some test in cricket. I noticed how calm she was, but it was her smile that actually made me feel jitters. I had seen many girls in my life, you know how guys are, haha! But Sara, Sara's presence felt different. I am very well aware of who she is and probably that's exactly why I would let go of these initial thoughts that I felt when I met her. I think it's a very natural to feel these emotions when you meet a beautiful girl. I have much bigger dreams to concentrate on :)

Author's POV: Shubman, Sara along with all others had a nice lunch after the training session. They all clicked pictures together and finally it was an end to a beautiful day.
