Reva's eyelashes separated for her to accept the day's light, and she closed them back and reopened them so she could adjust. She took a glance at her body and discovered all those greenish lines were gone. Her beautiful skin was back to being radiant again.

She was on the verge of disappearing before Lucien's voice stopped her in her tracks.

"Is that how you say thank you?" he asked, and she turned to see him sitting regally on a couch.

"You expect a 'Thank You' for your unwelcomed help?" She raised an eyebrow.

"Why can't you learn to be polite?" Lucien retorted, as he sped toward her and held her chin firmly.

"And why can't you stop being an annoying peacock?" She snarled, slapping his hand away.

She was about to leave again, but Lucien swiftly pinned her down to the bed, his grip tightening.

"What are you trying to do?" She asked, her frown deepening as she struggled to set herself free.

"Getting my reward" he smirked.

Before she could fully process the meaning of his words, he leaned in and placed a kiss on her neck.

For some unknown reason, a chill ran down her spine, leaving her bewildered.

"A soft reminder of our little deal" he whispered seductively into her ear, and in an instant, he teleported her away from there.

Reva found herself standing in front of Lucien's door, her confusion and irritation mounting. She was about to kick the door in frustration when Alice's voice interrupted her thoughts.

"Reva?!" She called out, rushing towards her with concern etched on her face.

Reva turned to face Alice, her eyes softening at the sight of her.

Alice was about to pull her into a tight embrace but restrained herself when she remembered her warning about them.

"Just this once!" Reva sighed.

Alice grinned and swiftly hugged her, relieved to see her safe and sound.

"What are you doing here?" She asked, her voice laced with curiosity.

"I have been waiting for you" Alice replied, tightening the hug as if to assure herself of Reva's presence.

"For me?" Reva's eyebrows shot up in surprise.

"Yes!" She nodded, her eyes brimming with unshed tears. "I was very worried that the..." Her words broke as she sniffed, unable to articulate her fears.

"Nothing was going to happen to me, silly" Reva said, her voice soothing and reassuring.

Somehow, Alice's words resonated within her, causing her to soften. She hugged her back, allowing herself to be vulnerable in that moment.

"Stop being a crybaby, a mere poison can't take me down" she said, patting Alice's hair as if to comfort her.

Alice sniffed some more, her tears now mixed with tears of relief and joy.

"Come on, let's go to class" Reva muttered, breaking the hug.

"I think you might want to change" Alice pointed out, her gaze flickering to Reva's rumpled clothes.

Without missing a beat, Reva snapped her fingers, and in an instant, she appeared in stunning black attire.

"Am not a witch for nothing, yunno" she said proudly, reveling in her magical abilities.

Alice grinned in response, glad to see her confident and resilient spirit shining through once again.

As they made their way to class, Reva couldn't help but remember Lucien. His mysterious intentions and cryptic words lingered in her mind. She finds everything about him super irritating.
