Annabelle looked at me and grinned wide. "You came!" she exclaimed, wrapping her arms around my waist. Her skin is cold and dirty. This just makes me hold her closer to me.

I looked at her, remembering why I'm here, with my dark blue eyes and dead expression and her radiant smile. That's the thing about Annabelle, she is always smiling. If she gets really sad or angry, she cries. It's either crying or smiling. That and trust. She trusts me with her life.

"We're getting you out of here" I whisper, and grab her hand. On my way out, Mark looks at her scars. I scowl at him.

I slide into the backseat and motion for Annabelle to follow me.

"Let's go to the pack house." I tell Mark. He turns around from the front seat and motions towards Annabelle. Ohh

"Annabelle" I start, looking her in the eye. Mark seemed surprised I was going to tell her already. But why not?

"Mark is my boyfriend" I say, and she gasps. Then she eyes Mark in the way a mother would. I giggle silently at that.

Once we arrive at the pack house, I wait outside and motion for Annabelle and Mark to do the same.

"Annabelle?" I say in a small voice, looking over at her smile. "Yeah?" she asks.

"Mark is a werewolf." I say, and look at Mark's expression. He looks taken aback. I giggle.

Annabelle looks over at Mark and gives him a 'prove it' expression.

Mark smiles smugly and jumps and shifts in midair pouncing at her. But Annabelle doesn't flinch. Instead her smile gets even bigger.

"Cool!" she exclaims.

"And everyone else in there are werewolves too. We're the only humans." I explain, and Annabelle nods. Then she looks back at Mark's wolf. She pets his head without hesitation. It was adorable. Even though she was thirteen. Happiness was radiating off of Annabelle. Mark was surprised, but I wasn't.

"Let's go inside." I state, and walk through the doors.

Every face is staring at me and Annabelle. They seem to be mind-linking each other.

"She is your future Luna." Mark says, walking inside behind us. I see some of the girls ogling him.

No, just no.

If I was a werewolf, I would've growled. But I wasn't, so I just squashed Annabelle's hand. I heard her wince and I let go.

Anyways, I was Mark's mate. I was sure he wouldn't leave me. Plus he did have a lot of muscle. He could beat those people up.

My eyes widen when my eyes lock with Katrina's. We both gasp.
