Chapter 6

Hunter's POV

The look on Aubrey's face was priceless when I last saw her. She was definitely not expecting that, and that human old lady was icing to the cake.

A smile touched my lips as I continued on the narrow walkway with my hands deep in my pockets. This town is a little hot for my liking but I could manage. Strangely I can't get myself to leave.

My wolf won't let me, he seems to like this town. It's never happened to me before. I am usually jumping from place to place.

From the corner of my eye I spotted the girl with the blue hair from the bakery. She was across the street wiping her eyes of tears. For a second I thought of comforting her but realized how stupid the idea was.

Ignoring her I made my way to the bar at the corner. No need to get myself involved with that she wolf. I pulled the heavy wooden door open and was greeted by the overwhelming smell of more wolves.

Just as I thought the bar was filled with wolves and a few she wolves that I'm guessing are their mates. Their eyes followed my movements as I approached the bar.

"Bartender, tequila on the rocks." I ordered as I sat on a free stool

The red girl next to me scooted closer to her mate not taking her eyes off me. The bartender gave me my order with stiff arms.

I downed it loving the way it tingled down my throat. Nothing like alcohol to pass the time.

"Another." I called out

Just than I smelled a familiar wet dog odor that I really would rather have not noticed. I leaned my elbows on the bar.

I whipped my seat around like a child would do. "Yess." I stretched the end out

A big guy with blonde shoulder length hair was standing in front of me with a deep frown and his brows knit together. Ohhhh scary.

"Get out of town rogue." the stranger ground out

Now that I looked closely I realized this was the same guy who approached me at the charity event. The one who 'demanded' respect.

This guy is a joke. Leaning back on my elbows I decide to have a little fun with this muscle head who probably read too many twilight books.

"See I prefer the term loner." I said

"What ever you call yourself your still nothing but a maggot, who needs to worm his way back to where he came from."

The well light bar bursted into applause and a few whistles. I raised my hand up to my chest in fake hurt.

"I thought we were friends. I even got us matching friendship bracelets." I laughed

Muscle head growled like the dog he is. These idiots make all wolves look bad. The bartender returned with my refill which I now decided to sip slowly in case he gets any ideas about slipping something in.

"Alpha told you to get out of here. This is Blue Haven territory and werewolf law requires you ask permission before entering." the red headed girl squeaked from beside me

I shook my head and waved her off. "Laws take away the fun." I said with a wink

The girl turned a dark shade of red and turned her head away to conceal her blush. Her reaction caused a smug smirk to spread across my face.
