Holden at the side!

Chapter 13

The sound of hard footsteps coming echoed in the hallway as I sped up to my apartment.

"Aubrey." Holden called out

He sounded close, looking over my shoulder I saw he was a few steps behind me. Dashing to down the hallway I banged on the door.

"Kelly!" I shouted not bothering to search for my keys

In seconds Kelly opened the door in a large gray tee shirt, she had a look of concern on her face. Pushing her back I grabbed the door knob about to slam it shut when Holden pushed it open.

I lost my balance and stumbled back but didn't fall. Stepping in he shut the door.

"Stop running like a child and let's talk about this." he said as he took a step closer to me

"I'm the child? You are the one who just shoved your tongue down my throat in spite of Hunter." I replied angrily

Holden pressed his lips firmly together not denying it. Here I thought he changed. Holden ran one hand through his wet hair and the other on his hip.

"I shouldn't have done that I know but when I saw you kiss him I couldn't help feeling jealous and I had to show him you are mine." he said his voice tensing in the end

"Except I'm not yours Holden, we agreed to be friends." I reminded him

Kelly backed away into the kitchen seeming a little too interested judging by the wide grin on her face. She leaned her elbows on the counter and continued to watch.

"I only agreed because I wanted you back Honey, if that's how we start than I can bare through it but not that." he said referring to when I kissed Hunter

I rolled my eyes at his words, one word can some that sentence up. Bullshit. Folding my hands over my chest I narrowed my eyes.

"Let me spell it put for you we are over, O-V-E-R and you didn't seem to mind when you were out fucking different girls over the years."

"That's what your upset about, this is why you keep hanging around that rogue. To get back at me?" he asked

My brows knitted together as I shook my head. That isn't what I said at all.

"I could careless if you slept with every girl in the world." I said pointing my chin up

Okay that's a lie I care but just a little.

"Oh really?" Holden smirked

I nodded refusing to admit the truth. "By all means go ahead, look Kelly is right there."

"Whoa keep me out of this." Kelly said as she sat up

Holden turned in her direction and raised one thick brow as his eyes ran over her bare legs.

"Eyes up Sir fucks a lot." Kelly said with a dark glare

Shaking his head of whatever dirty thoughts were going through his perverted mind. Love my foot.

"Oh yeah I can really see the love." I snorted sarcastically

"I'm a guy." he shrugged like it was no big deal

He shook his head knowing he just made a mistake.

"Look I admit that was a douche move but you said that you'd stay away from him."

"If I didn't run into him and if you hadn't noticed he gave me a ride." I shouted as I pointed to the heavy rain

Holden sighed shutting his eyes and pursing his lips. That face means he knows he's wrong. A triumphant smile spread across my face as I tapped my foot.
