Mary Fahey is a genuinely lovely person, talking to her only for a moment you get a sense of the big heart that she has. You also get a sense of who she is as a person by taking a glance at the five books that sit in her 'Works' section.

Each feature a story that has love and joy, but also struggle and the ability to overcome that struggle.

This book review isn't about one book. To be honest, I couldn't choose which one to review! As you will see they all possess a quality that I needed to share with you.

As I sit here now, typing up this book review, she has three books ranking in Chicklit! Her book 'The Tycoon's Trophy Family' sits at number #25- a genre hard to break into the top 100 for any writer on Wattpad. It is a testament to her writing and storytelling ability.

She is also a Featured Author in Chicklit with her completed story 'New Year's Baby', about the relationship between two people and their child, born with a cleft lip and palate

The first of her stories that I ever read was 'Pretend Partners'. Its follows the story of two people in very different circumstances, finding love when they don't think they deserve it. The main character Hazel has Cerebral Palsy, and I found that her determination to not let it affect her way of life was great to see. Its sequel Pretend Pregnancy, I am awaiting each update with bated breath, to see where the story takes them.

Second Hand Wedding is a beautiful story of acceptance, not only of those who are around you, but also of yourself

Second Hand Wedding is a beautiful story of acceptance, not only of those who are around you, but also of yourself.

I found, as I was reading these books, that I was getting an insight into very real lives, that these were not just characters in a book, but they were people. With real problems and real heartache.

Disability plays a large role in all her books, each condition well thought out, realistically portrayed and a real pleasure to read. Her characters aren't perfect! And her characters with disabilities aren't looking for a cure! To say that is refreshing is an understatement!

She writes about disability in such an effortless way. These characters weren't afterthoughts, or added in for the sake of. Their conditions drive the plot, the motivations and the outcomes.

Overall, if you haven't checked out Mary's work, then you need to get over there and add some of her stories to your reading lists! You won't be disappointed
