Verdicci is basically Florence in the Renaissance era. Ikept the name MedicibecauseI liked it.Translation for the little Italian phrases. If you speak Italian and spot any mistakes, please let me know.

Lorenzo (Enzo) - Ocean
Amore Mio– My Love.
Bambino – Baby Palazzo – Palace.

Naya's P.O.V.
16th Century Verdicci

A large paintbrush was clamped between his teeth, plump lips gripping the wooden handle. I

wanted those lips on mine, like last night. I pouted. I'd been lounging on the crimson chaise for the last four hours, I needed food and water, but once Lorenzo got in the zone there was absolutely no stopping him

I complained, "Enzo," when my stomach growled loudly. He shook his head before setting his brushes and palette down on the stool next to him. I desperately wanted to see the picture he was painting because he always bathed me in vibrant colours.

A maroon chaise, chartreuse curtains, green grapes, a bowl of shiny red apples, and so many contradicting colours. Sometimes, due to the constant clash of paints, my eyes hurt.

Lazily, he sauntered towards me with his paint covered hands, and gently slid them across

my bare skin. I moaned, and twisted away from his hand, incidentally frustrating him.

"Amore mio, you drive me crazy." He huffed while placing his knee on the edge of the chaise

and blocking me in.

"You know what I love more than you?" I said as I dragged my nails down his chest, teasing

the band of his trousers.

"You love something more than me?" Though the mischievous smirk on his face told me he

knew I loved him to madness which was only appropriate when he loved me more than life itself.

"Yes, FOOD," I giggled and pushed him away. Finally, covering my body with a white sheet, Enzo flopped onto the chaise face first.

"Come on, you LOVE food too." For the last couple of weeks my appetite had increased significantly. I doubted that he noticed, but that was only because he was so worried about my consistent sickness in the morning.
