Epilogue

He was wearing white.

Alright, so not white from top to toe, but a perfectly pressed white shirt and it made all the difference. Thanatos beamed at me from the side, his golden eyes bright against the angelic white of his button-up shirt.

"You should wear white more often..." I stroked a hand down his chest, smoothing out the pocket and I softly tugged at the collar.

Thanatos smiled lovingly and whispered, leaning in to tickle my ear with his hot breath; "Then we should get married more often too."

I chuckled and brought the crisp champagne to my lips, careful not to spill anything on my white dress. The air was humid, but the breeze was cold enough to keep the sweat from my brow. This dress may be just about the most beautiful thing I've ever worn, but it was clingy and hot. It was all worth it though- Thanatos picked up my hand from his lap and stood up.

"Come, my wife..." He smiled and it nearly blinded me; "Let's go dance."

I grinned and let him lead me to the dance floor, where most of our guests were already partying the night away. Our wedding was in Greece; fittingly so. Atop a large hill we had the reception, surrounded by crystal clear ocean, endless beaches and beautiful forests. Our ceremony had been a few miles away, close to a waterfall and at sunset; creating a cracking sky filled with blue, red and the whitest of clouds.

The guests were from all over- our godly friends, my mortal friends, my parents, Thanatos' old friends and my family from far. The wedding was enormous, people everywhere, the music loud and the champagne flowing like another waterfall from endless rows of flute glasses.

The theme was Greece and our colours a beautiful medley of mint green and powder blue with white features. I've never seen so many flowers in my entire life! Every spot was covered in them; from the tables to hanging from the ceiling. Then again, what did I expect when Persephone was in charge of the reception grounds? Of course, Hephaestus insisted he help out, hence all the candles and fire torches that lit up the pathways and tables.

Thanatos grabbed me around the waist and pressed me against him, tightly. We swayed to the beautiful melody, everyone around us moving at a slightly faster tempo, but we couldn't care less. Our pace was perfect for us.

"Poor Pers..." I eyed the sitting brunette from the side. She looked exhausted by all the prep work for the day.

Thanatos laughed; "Oh, she's fine. You know how much she loves this stuff. Hades is the one I feel sorry for..."

"Hmm..." I shifted my eyes to the dark lord holding a baby bottle and trying to get his little baby boy to close his eyes, while Persephone enjoyed a cool glass of red wine after a hard day's work. "I don't think you're wrong there..."
