The loud thunder boomed and Y/n hid further under her covers. She hated thunderstorms with a passion. She was always paranoid that it would cause a tree to fall down onto her house or that the lightning would somehow electrocute her.

The louder and louder it got the more anxious she became. She hid her face into her pillows and closed her eyes. She tried to remain calm but she couldn't. She opened her eyes and got up from under the covers.

She looked over to her walker talkie and grabbed it. It was 1 am and there was only one person that she knew would be awake.

She pressed the button, "Mike? Are you there? Over." She said softly. She laid down with her walkie talkie still in hand.

Lightning illuminated her room, "I'm here. Over." He replied and she quickly got up. "Can you please come over?" She asked sadly, "Over and out." She then hid under the covers as the thunder rumbled.

She whimpered as the lightning striked outside. She heard a soft knock on her bedroom door and it opened. She looked up and Mike smiled at her.

"Thanks for coming." She said and then a loud clap of thunder filled the room. She covered her ears and Mike walked over to he to sit down. "Hey, it's ok." He reassured her and brought her into his arms.

She sighed happily and laid her head onto his shoulder. She immediately felt relieved. He made her feel so calm even though just a second ago she was panicking.

"I'm so glad you're here." she whispered and he rubbed her back. "Me too." He murmured.

The only sound was the sound of raindrops hitting the windowsill. She looked down at his lips and quickly back up to his eyes. "Stay this time. Just for tonight." She gushed.

"I'm not going anywhere." He comforted. She placed her head back onto his shoulder and she felt him kiss her on the forehead.

Each time the thunder would get louder, Mike would squeeze onto her tighter. "Go to sleep. You need rest." He whispered into her ear. She nodded and slowly began to close her eyes. Falling asleep in his comforting arms.

She woke up the next morning wrapped up in her blankets. She looked around and noticed that Mike was gone and it was now sunny outside. She yawned and grabbed her walkie talkie.

"Thanks, Mike. Over." She said into the walkie. "No problem, I'll see you later. Over and out." He replied and she smiled.

A/n: This ending sucks but I wrote this because where I live there was a thunderstorm and I don't really like them😅
