Walking inside the building, Rachel couldn't help but think about their discussion. She couldn't believe that John could get so low. After cheating on her friend and somehow ruining her friendship with Shellah, the thing he did to Davin was not a surprise. The thing that disgusted her even more was the fact that Davin and him were still friends. Davin still thinks he's one of the few friends that were just to him. He's ignoring the one and true friend that has been by his side since the beginning, Elijah.

Thinking about him, she turned to look at him who was now observing the room with interest. The room was big, in front of them stood a wooden cross. On the left of the room, sisters sat, singing. On the right, brothers, singing also. When their eyes met, Rachel smiled at him to calm him down.

"You'll have to seat on the right side, I'll be there." She whispered.

"Why can't you seat with me? I won't be comfortable alone..." he whispered back at her as he glared at the room again that was getting fuller with brothers and sisters entering.

"That's how it works..." she looked at him with convincing eyes. When she saw how worried he was getting, she sighed. "Do you have your bible with you?" She asked.

Shaking his head no, he gulped. "I don't even have a Bible..." he replied.

"You have all this wealth but forgot to get yourself the true and real wealth which is the infallible word of God... Anyways, listen since it's the first day you're coming here, I'll seat with you okay? We will just have to sit here."

She turned to walk to the two empty seats behind them. When they both sat, Rachel closed her eyes and started praying to thank the Lord for His grace. She was praying silently and Elijah couldn't help but close his eyes too as he tried to listen to her silent prayer too. When Rachel whispered "Amen." He couldn't help but utter an amen too, an amen that was so discreet for the people in the world to not hear nor notice, but loud enough for the Lord to hear.

Rachel grabbed the deep red book filled with canticles as she went to the right page and started singing the hymn she loved so much. Putting the canticle between them, she showed Elijah the lyrics with her fingers, inviting him to sing with her.

And he did.

« What a friend we have in Jesus all our sins and grieves to bear
What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer
Oh what peace we often forfeit of what needless pain we bear
All because we do not carry everything to God in prayer... »

After these lyrics, Rachel couldn't help but lift her left hand up and closing her eyes and she felt the presence of the Holy Spirit. Elijah was still trying to sing along with them. Some sisters and brothers were up, singing and praising the Lord.
