inconspicuous

together, yet apart

a figure of oblivion,

hands scraped with the devil,

eyes filled with glass,

walking away from everything you've ever known

i can see you, yes,

but i cannot see your heart nor your mind

so in ways, i can't see you

not daring to touch, for you are burning

but how desperately i want you to come back 

tell me, why do you look different? 

you told me that you wouldn't leave me in the dark

tell me, why are my legs frozen to the earth?

as you walk into the forest of secrecy and sin

you stop, you turn around and stare

and without thinking, my limbs begin to desire like never before

i walk, i walk, and i walk some more

but i cannot stop 

your eyes still glaring, commanding 

and then i know that i am your puppet once again

and just like you, i will adventure into sin

it's okay, right?

at least i am with you. 

now we will never part,

our eyes the doorway to our souls.
