I woke up to the snow on the ground and a cold breeze blowing on me through my window. I checked the calendar and realised that it was the 20th December. Christmas was around the corner.
I looked over at Daniel and saw the remains of the tears on his face. I smiled sadly at him and walked downstairs.
Alice, Jabbie and Zoe were watching Paw Patrol on the TV downstairs whilst Corbina was helping my dad with breakfast. Everyone was eating and Daniel came down shortly after.
He gave everyone quick glances and looked down at his hands. He seemed really fidgety today. Almost as if he were nervous.

It was Christmas Eve and my dad had invited some of my family around for a party. I know it's bad to dislike your family but mine sucks.
Aunt May is probably the snobbiest and nosiest person I've ever met, she just doesn't mind her own business.
Cousin Alex is just like Aunt May seeing as Aunt May is her mom.
They were the exact same in every way possible except every boyfriend I have ever had Alex had taken away from me.
Even though Daniel and I aren't dating I still don't want him to be dating her.
It was 5:00pm and my family would be here at 6:00pm. I lay on my bed in sweats when Dad knocked on my door.
"Hey, Thena." He says.
"Hey dad." I reply.
"Uhm... are you sure you don't want to put on something else. You know how May is." He says, rubbing the back of his neck.
I sigh and walk towards my closet. I pull out a mustard coloured turtle neck and a black skirt. I top that with some black chunky ankle boots.

I pull my blue/brown hair into two braids that go into buns at the bottom of my head and put on some light lipgloss. After I'm finished getting ready Daniel walks into my room.
He smiles at me and sits down at the edge of the bed.
"Hey Blue, you Okay?" I ask. He nods his head timidly and pulls out his phone.

I look up at him. "Who? My family?"
He nods his head.
"Then they're being stupid." I grin.
I leave Daniel to get dressed as all his stuff are in my room. Around 6:00pm he comes downstairs wearing a checkered flannel shirt with a mustard yellow jumper over it, which was matching mine.
He wore a black beanie over his hair and black ripped jeans. He also wore mustard yellow vans.

Once everyone had finished laughing about Daniel and I wearing a couples outfit, there was a knock on the door.
My dad ran to go and open it and there stood Aunt May, Uncle Rich, Cousin Alex, Cousin Eben And little cousins Charles and Charlotte.
