Wings of an Angel ||niall horan||

Chapter 7

"Kenny!" I yelled as I chased him around the house, trying to get him dressed. Yes, he was flat out naked. My parents were out to dinner so THANK GOD no one was home. He had blueberries splattered all over him. 

He giggled, "Catch me mommy!" He ducked under the kitchen table. "KENNETH!" I stomped my foot a few feet away. "We do not have time for your games! Do you not want to go on a inflatable?" 

His brown eyes widened as he ran out from under the table, "NO! Mummy! NO! I wanna play!" 

"Okay, only boys who are cleaned up and dressed may go play on the inflatable." I said. He grabbed my hand and started dragging me, "MUM! We have to go get ready!" 

I chuckled, "Alright, alright"

Twenty minutes later, Kenny and I were both dressed. He was wearing tan cargo shorts and a green polo with some black converse. I was wearing a nude sequin tank top, skinny jeans, white blazer, and nude heels. 

I had braided my hair into a side swept fishtail. I put a tan newsboy cap on Kenny so his head wouldn't get sunburned. 

I looked at the clock it was 4:44. A second later someone knocked on the door. Kenny ran towards the door. "Kenneth!" I ran up to the door. Niall was knelt down, he was shaking Kenny's hand. "My mum really likes you." 

Niall looked up at me, "Well, I really like your mum." 

"Are you going to marry-" "That's enough kiddo!" I picked him and tickled his neck. He started gigling wildly, "Mummy, stop!" 

Niall stood up, "Hi, Nora."

"Niall." I smiled as I slowly sat Kenny down. Niall was holding a boutique of tulips. 

"Not for me?" I smiled at him. 

"Nope." Niall chuckled. "Are you ready?" 

I nodded, "Kenny, are you ready baby?"

Kenny ran past Niall, "Let's GO!" 

I chuckled, Niall held out his free arm and linked my arm through his. 

"Ah, Lenora." Margie exclaimed as Niall, Kenny and I walked into her giant backyard a few minutes later. 

"Hi, Marg." I hugged her frail frame. 

She pulled away, "You must be Niall."

Niall handed her the flowers, "Nora, when you said your boss was beautiful was an understatement."

Margie blushed, "You are too kind Nora." She smiled and bent down, "Hi, Kenneth! You look very handsome today." Kenny grabbed my leg and hid behind me. 

"Thank you." He said softly. She smiled, "All the kids are playing in the bounce house over there." She pointed to colorful inflatable. 

"Can I go mummy?" He asked. 

I touched his head, "Of course. Take off your shoes please but leave your hat on." 

He looked over at Niall, "Will you take me?"

"Kenny." I said. 

"Nora, its fine." Niall bent down and held out his hand, "Come on buddy."

Kenny's face lit up and he grabbed Niall'soutstreched hand and they walked away together. Kenny was laughing and so was Niall. Niall looked so happy being around Kenny. 

"You lucky duck." Margie interrupted my thoughts. 

"Huh?" I asked. My intelligence clearly showing. 

"You told me he was hot, but not that hot." She gawked. I slapped her arm playfully, "Margie, why I thought you were a married woman."

"Not yet." She smiled as she held up her hand, "I still have time to change my mind."

My eyes widened. "I'm kidding.  Sampson is the very best." She smiled over at her husband-to-be. 

"He better treat you right." I smiled. 

"Same with Niall. Or else." She winked. "Is it me or is he really good with kids? Sampson is afraid of kids." 

"What about Jackson?" Jackson was her seven year old son. "Oh, they got along very well actually."

"That's good." I looked over to where Niall was helping Kenny take off his shoes. 

"To be fairly honest, he is total husband material. He knows how to sweet talk. I wonder what other sweet things he can do." 

"Margie!" I laughed. 

"I'm being honest, I know you are thinking it to!" I was. But I wouldn't have said it out loud. 

"Well, he is a goal." I smiled at Niall, who was now walking towards us. 

"Hun, he's a winner."
