i look back and forth between the two boys staring each other down not saying anything

"um." i say from the awkward tension buliding up more and more,causing them both breakout of their daze

"they are my friends,we go way back,first people i met once i moved here,besides you and all of them." i point at nate and karissa

"um,hi,im karissa." she stands up putting her hand out to shake "this is my boyfriend Grayson." i say as he shakes her hand

i tilt my head to the side telling nate to say something "we should go." he awkwardly coughs,standing up grabbing his coat

"what?" i say turning my attention to him "yeah we got to edit,and um-other stuff." he grabs his keys nodding for karissa to come on

i hug the both of them "see you later guys!" i yell as they are walking towards the door "bye we love you!" she yells grabbing her coat on the way out "you too." i say

i look over at grayson "what was that about?" i say sitting on the couch,him following after me "what?" he says as if he didn't know

"that awkward tension,between you and nate?" i turn off the tv "um,well-we used to be close friends and we just drifted apart that's all." he shrugs

me and grayson are chilling on the couch watching a movie on Netflix called 'bird box' it was actually really good

i see my phone go off so i reach over to see who it was

ian : double date tonight at 8:00?
me : yes yes yes !!

"get dressed." i pause netflix turning the light on "what?" he groans "we have a double date." i say walking up the stairs

"with ethan and emma?" he asks "no.ian and loren." i walk fully upstairs getting dressed

"right here." i tell him excitement raising through my body "i know." he rolls his eyes as i laugh

he parks the car,me instantly hoping out "i hope we aren't to late." i say walking fast,grayson barely keeping up with me

"we aren't,it's only 8:05." he says jogging a little to keep up with me

"good." i state pulling the door open instantly spotting ian and Loren

"hey!its been to long!" i smile hugging him "i know i missed you." he laughs his deep voice echoing throughout my eardrums

grayson and him give a 'bro hug' and he turns around leading us to the table

"hi." loren says smiling, pulling her dress down where it came up as she was sitting

i follow her on instagram but i haven't met her in person before

"oh my gosh hi." i smile hugging her

we finally finished our food getting to know each other

"i hope we can do this again sometime." loren smiles "of course." i say

we say our goodbyes hoping in the car "that was a nice dinner." i smile to grayson "yup." he says

"you okay,i feel like something's bothering you." i sit up straight getting serious "ever since i saw nate again it just felt weird i was guess." he shrugs

"awkward." he finishes
