Eve's POV

The rest of the week went by faster than expected. Isabel and I had a good talk with my parents and they accepted our decision to break up. They even were impressed by our, how they called it, maturity, to stay friends. Isabel came to our table during lunch on Tuesday and apologized to everyone, even Ally who now seemed to sit with us permanently. I don't mind it, she's cool and Jenna really seemed to like her. These two were always wrapped up in a conversation that no one else understood. I had to admit they looked cute together, even though Adam disagreed. I guess he just wants to protect the two most important girls in his life. Adam gave Isabel a hard time as well, for the first day at least. He then accepted or at least tolerated her at our table. Adam and that blue haired girl Lisa became rather good friends over the last week so she now sat with us as well. It's now lunch break on Friday and we all were excited for the holidays. "Hey." Isabel sat down next to me. "Hey." I smiled at her. "So, uhm, I was wondering what we would do over Christmas." She looked kinda nervous. "I honestly have no plans. My Parents are gone so it's just you and me, but you can go celebrate with friends if you want." I really didn't care. "Hey," Adam said interrupting us. "Why don't you all come over to my place and we celebrate together? You can bring your mom's Jenna and Isabel and Eve can bring whoever they want to bring. You can come as well Lisa, if you want." We all thought about it for a moment. "Hey why am I not invited?" Ally asked pouting. I looked at her confused until Adam playfully shoved her shoulder. "You are my sister, silly. You'd be there if I invited you or not." Ally stuck her tongue out at him and we all laughed at them when they started their sibling war of shoving and sticking their tongues out at each other. "Ally put your tongue back in your mouth who knows where that thing has been." Adam told her. "Ha, you are one to talk, we all know where your tongue has been." Ally countered with a side glance to Lisa who immediately blushed a deep red. "Or were your tongue wants to be." She added looking at me which shut up my laughing. Adam shoved her again. "Yeah and we all know where your tongue wants to be." He said looking directly at Jenna. Now there are four girls blushing, and Adam avoiding me, at one table with one, not so innocent, Isabel. "Right, now that we all know everything about your tongues, I would like to celebrate Christmas with you guys, I mean if you all can be in one room together without blushing like crazy." Isabel looked at each of us and we all shrugged We all approved of the idea and went our separate ways to out next class, excited to finish the last day of school.

Ada's POV

I came home from school, dropping my back off in the corner of my room before letting myself fall down on my bed. It was the last day before Christmas break and the last few days have been stressful. With all the stuff on my mind I nearly forgot about midterms. I guess I could have done better if I actually once concentrated on them instead of thinking about Eve all the time. It's getting worse. In the beginning, I used to have a small crush on her, but after spending more and more time with her I started falling for her and by now I could nearly see the floor that I'm going to hit. Really hard. I just know that she won't catch me, jet there is still this tiny part of me that is hoping she'd love me back. It's all my fault. I should have told her the truce right from the start. But no stupid old me had to play a game with her. By now it's pretty obvious that she's not going to figure it out by herself. I groaned folding my arms over my head. "Are you okay?" Charley sat down on the bed next to me. "Do I look okay?" I asked back burying my face in a pillow. She took the pillow out of my hand and laid it on the bed next to her. "No, to be honest, you look like shit. Come on A, tell me." I sat up, playing with my hand, debating whether I should tell her everything, or not. I sighed. "I've done something stupid." I admitted. She just looked at me, waiting for me to continue. "When Eve first came to our school she thought I am a guy and I didn't correct her. I thought she'd figure it out herself, but.... she didn't. She still thinks I'm a guy." I let my head hang down. "Okaaayy, so Eve thinks you're a guy, so where's the problem? Just tell her." I laughed. "Oh yeah sure. I'll just go over to her start a casual conversation and then go 'Oh, by the way, I'm not a guy, I'm a girl and my name is Ada not Adam.' I'm sure that'll work out just fine." "That is not what I meant, but you have to tell her." "I can't, I'll lose her. She hates liars." "Ada She'll hate you even more when she finds out and you haven't told her." "I'm scared Charley. I don't want to lose her." I bit down on my lip. "Why? Ada why are you so scared? You'll get over it when you lose her." I swallowed. I'm bad with feelings. Really bad. I don't know how to deal with feelings. "I..." God fucking damn it. I fidget with my hands in my lap. "Charley...I...I think...I think I'm falling for her." Charley rubbed my back. "Well fuck. Ada, why do you always have to make everything so difficult?" I looked up at her, a small smile spreading over my face. "You are one to talk, char. Anyways that with me and Eve is never going to be a thing. So how is it going with Isabel?" She sighed. "Well, she's not talking to me. She told me about the break up, but the she said..." Charley buried her face in her hands, breaking down in sobs. I wrapped my arms around her letting her cry into my shoulder. After a few minutes, she sat up again. "She said that she's not ready for another relationship. She said she'd go back into therapy and that when she'll be done with therapy she'd also be done with high school and that it wouldn't make much sense if we'd date when she's in college while I still have three years of high school left. And I understand it all, it wouldn't be fair for the both of us, but it still hurts so much." She whipped her tears away before giving me a sad smile. "Guess we're both not lucky when it comes to love." I shook my head before hugging her again "Now, come downstairs. I'm hungry and you're still on your punishment." She walked out of my room and I followed behind her groaning. I have absolutely no motivation to cook. "Can't we just order pizza?" "No Ada, you're going to cook. By the way how is your classical music class going?" Sarah sat down at the kitchen counter. "Great. I mean I nearly failed my midterm test and Chrissy and I have some trouble during class but at least I learn everything about Mozart and Bach and I'm becoming a pro at playing the piano." I said while getting out all the ingredients I need for today's dinner. "Sounds great. Maybe if you stop provocating Ms. Costanza she wouldn't have all that trouble with you." "I'm not provocating her, she just hates it when I talk to Lisa during class. Actually, she hates it when I talk. Like when I answer her questions, which I always answer correct, she rolls her eyes and ignores me for the rest of class. Sarah don't you think it has been enough punishment? I haven't acted out since that evening and if you let me explain..." "No Ada. Yes, you've done pretty good since them and I also noticed that you haven't been on a 'date' in over a month. Why's that?" Sarah is obsessed with the idea of me getting a girlfriend. "I realised that I don't want that lifestyle anymore. It's not making me happy and it's not fair towards the girls. I can have fun in my life without sleeping with another girl every week." I started cooking dinner while Sarah starred at me. "Wow, why the change? How come you're not sleeping around anymore?" Charley sat up on the kitchen counter. "Ada's got a crush." She said, quickly jumping back down before I could hit her head or Sarah could tell her to not sit on the furniture. She ran out of the kitchen and nearly ran into Ally. "Who?" Sarah asked a smile spreading on her face. "Who what?" Ally questioned sitting next to her. I groaned. "Your sister's got a crush on someone." Ally rolled her eyes. "Oh that, yeah we all know." "How?" Sarah and I both asked at the same time. "First, Ada stopped sleeping around. Second, she seems to be happier, even though you took her off the basketball team and she has to cook every day and third the way you act around Eve totally gives it away." "Shut up, I act totally normal around her." She laughed. "Yeah sure, it's totally normal for you to smile every time you're around her. It's totally normal that you watch over her like you'd watch over a little kid. Ada, you're acting anything but normal around her." She was still laughing. "Oh yeah? I'm pretty sure you're acting worse around Jenna." She immediately blushed at that. "Oh, Jenna? Isn't that the one who was over for dinner? Your childhood friend?" I nodded. "Yep, and little Ally here definitely has a crush on her." "No, I don't." She blushed an even deeper tone of red. "Stop denying it, you're redder than a tomato." "I don't have a crush on Jenna. I just think she's an intelligent and beautiful girl. I'd never have anything with my sisters' best friend." "Sure, but if she's not my friend you totally would fuck her." I grinned. "Ada that's enough stop teasing your sister." I threw my hands up in surrender, before I finished cooking dinner.

A little later we all sat around the desk, ready to dart dinner. Ally looked at me, more like glared at me, but I decided to ignore her and finally tell Sarah about our Christmas plans. "So, Sarah, Christmas is around the corner..." "Yeah Ada, I know. It's the day after tomorrow." "Exactly, so do you have anything special planned for Christmas?" "No, why do you ask?" She looked at me suspicious. "Well some friends of mine don't know what to do for Christmas, since their parents won't be home, so..." "So, you invited all your friends over for Christmas." I nodded. "Who is coming?" "Not too many. Just my friends, Eve, Lisa, Isabel and Matt. Oh and Jenna with her parents, since I haven't celebrated Christmas with them for two years and they've basically been my family." Sarah sighed. "Sure, they can come over, but..." She looked at me, pointing her finger at me. "You are going to make all the food." "Okay fine. Charley we're going grocery shopping tomorrow." She whined. "No whining. I need to talk to you in private." "Ugh fine." We finished our dinner before heading up to our rooms.
