It was here. Maya's very first concert was just around the corner and she wasn't ready at all. It's been just a week since she got appointed and now she has to make everything happen. And it's happening right now.
Maya was sitting outside busy to figure out what to do with all the lyrics when Josh came.
"You call Cory?" Josh asked. "Two days ago," Maya said not taking her eyes off the piece of paper. "Concert tonight?" Josh asked. "First one and super nerves. What if I screw up?" Maya asked. "Just give it all you've got. You can't do any better," Josh said. "Thanks Josh," Maya said rolling her eyes. "Okay so you may have a reason to worry. You are new and some people aren't good. Maybe you are one of them," Josh said and Maya put her face in her hands but of course Josh could just laugh. "Relax. You'll be fine," Josh said laughing. "You're not funny. What if I'm making a huge mistake? What then?" Maya asked and Josh dropped the jokes.
He put his arm around her shoulders and pulled her in for a quick hug.
"You will be okay. I saw you singing the other night. You love it. People are going to love you. But you have to believe in yourself," Josh said. "I came here hoping I could sort everything out. Just to find out I was better of in NYC," Maya said. "You aren't better of somewhere. You belong where your heart is. Whether it's here or in NYC. Just give it all you got," Josh said.
It was much later that night and Maya was busy getting ready for the show. She got all dressed up and now she is just doing prep.

Maya was going through all the songs in her head and then she saw Josh.
"What are you doing here?" Maya asked smiling. "I know why you felt like you did. You feel you have no one here. Am I right?" Josh asked. "I'm in a new environment. I'll always feel like that no matter which place I go to," Maya said. "Well you're not alone. I promise you that," Josh said and Maya gave him a hug. "Thank you." "No problem. You look gorgeous. You ready?" Josh asked. "As ready as I'll ever be."
"Ladies and gentlemen. Please welcome our musician for the night, Maya Hunter," Heather said and Maya went up.
