Alex and I have been keeping up with our little rebellious act for about two weeks in a row now and not a single soul but Shawn knew about his visits every night.

At first my brother thought it was just occassionally but after learning that this was a routine of ours, he began leaving condoms in my sock drawer as a fucking joke.

Right now, I still have an hour and thirty minutes all to myself before Alex comes around the corner. What I like to do is sing my yearning heart out to Taylor Swift's old songs like Style or Love Story, and dance to them too.

I was dressed in a baggy white shirt and mid-thigh black cycling shorts. My hair was style up into a messy bun while I dance around my bedroom like a maniac, and singing You Belong With Me into my hairbrush.

"She wears short skirts, I wear t-shirts, she's cheer captain and I'm on the bleachers!"

"Dreaming'bout the day, when you wake up and find out that what you're looking for has been here the whole time!"

"And you could see that I'm the one who understands you, been here all along, so why can't you see? You belong with me... you belong with me."

That's when I heard Mom's mood crashing voice from downstairs in our basement,"Audrey, help your mother here in the basement!" She snarled.

Rolling my eyes, I turned off my music and ran down the staircase like I'm trying to score a touchdown or something.

Shawn and Dad were currently having a battle of chess by the living room, and by far, Dad is winning because you could hear his shouts of triumph.

I stirred down the empty hall and saw Mom by the entrance basement in something I've never seen her wesr in my entire life: a loose maroon colored dress, and a white fluffy apron on top, with her hair in a simple updo.

"Yes, Mom?" I cocked a brow in wonder. I was still flustered by her outfit right now. She normally wears jewelry, and designer brands.

She hurdled a box outside that said me and Shawn's embarrassing baby pictures, worthy of burning. She wiped a trickle of sweat, "Help me look through the attic, will you?"

Technically, I had no choice but to say yes to her. 'Cause if I say otherwise, I'm going to meet an early doom.

The attic was dark and misty. There was only a small around of light enveloping the room. But there were definetely cobwebs across the ceilings, and dusty shelves decorated with useless items.

Mom came behind me then motioned towards a box at tne far left side of the room, "Move that box outside, I still have to clean up," She explained.

Pulling out my phone, I activated flashlight mode then blasted Perfect by Ed Sheeran on replay for an hour to get me motivated while cleaning out the place.

I bent down and took up the box, and it was dang heavy! There must be three acrylic and vintage flower vases in there that came from a hidden city.

"'Cause we were just kids when we fell in love, fighting against all odds, I know we'd be alright this time."

"Darling just hold my hand, be my girl, I'd be your man, I see the future in your eyes."

"Baby, I, dancing in the dark, with you between my arms...barefoot on the grass, listening to our favorite song."

"When I said you looked a mess, I whispered underneath my breath, and you heard it: darling, you look perfect tonight..."

I was humming to the tune that I didn't even notice Mom vanishing into thin air like a magician, hiding in the shadows, gathering all her stuff.
