ANGELOS POV.

  "You're one hundred percent sure?"

"Yes."

I looked him up and down.

"Ok."

I tossed him a vest before grabbing one for him.

  "Gino, if anything goes wrong-,"

"Nothing is going to go wrong." He defended himself as he slid on the vest.

"I'm not blaming you incase anything goes wrong dumb ass. I'm saying that if something happens, you're legally responsible for Mercury."

I didn't know his skin could pale up that much.

"W-what?" He stuttered.

"I'm not repeating that."

"I-I'm- You're making me her godfather?"

"Don't make me regret it. If you get freaked out this easily-,"

"No! No, I'm good." His face held excitement.

  Now I'm really regretting this.

"I'm a godfather." He repeated.

I should've waited until I was on my death bed.

  "Are you ready?" I sighed.

"Yeah- oh wait!" He looked around the back of the van we were in, which was used to smuggle us onto the property.

And pulled out a crossbow.

    Do I want to know?

"Gino, why the fuck-,"

"Shut up. You have your hobbies, I have mine."

"Any sign of her?" I asked as I took out one of the very many rooms of the bottom floor of this house.

"I haven't seen her, but there's like a million-," I quickly clamped my hand around his mouth.

Up by the stairs, there, I could make out three men, and someone a lot smaller struggling to keep up.

I pointed at the scene above us.

We had to try to silently navigate our way to the group.

The hardest part was just keeping track of them.

Gino nudged my arm, and pointed just across from our hall.

All four of them were right there, right in front of us.

There was Mercury.

Now is not the time.

I held a hand in the air, a signal to turn the power off.

Just as I had planned, they all immediately stopped as soon as the lights turned off.

Gino raised that damn crossbow, and fired it.

It's too dark to even see what he hit.

I couldn't hear what was being said, but a light from a phone was turned on, shining it around until it got to the wall behind the group.

Oh that's what he hit.

One of them had an arrow in their neck, making them basically stuck to the wall.

Gino looked pretty proud of himself before putting down the weapon, and pulled a gun from his waistband.

Fuck it. I'll just ask later.

"Fuck! We don't have anytime!" One of them threw Mercury of his shoulder.

I ran after them, raising my gun and hitting the back of his thigh with a bullet.

    I hope that was painful.

"Angelo?"

She immediately tried to sit up, but was stopped when she flinched because of her stomach.

"Don't move. It'll cause more damage." I warned as I helped her lay back down.

She began to fight closing her eyes.

"I-it already really hurts." She said slowly as her eyes closed.

"No. Come on. You have to try to stay awake." I tapped her.

"Moms still alive." Where her final words as she became unconscious, her eyes finally coming to a rest.

   What?

"Mercury!" I tried to wake her up.

"Did you find her?" Gino asked as he ran up to us frantically, before looking down at her, his question silently answered.

  Think. Think.

"Pick her up." I told him as I stood up myself.

He did as he was told as I began taking off the vest I was wearing.

"Jesus she weighs nothing. What are you-,"

I covered her with the vest.

"She needs help. You have to take her."

"What? What about-,"

"I need to find Warren. The guys downstairs will cover the both of you."

  "But what if-,"

"Now is not the time for what if. Go!"

He didn't stick around for much longer after that.

Now, all I had on me was a gun.

Just going to make it quicker.

There was still one side of the house we haven't infiltrated yet, so that's where he had to be.

"Boss!" Someone whispered as I got back downstairs. "We just got word that they got out safely."

  Thank god.

"Good." I sighed and turned to the rest of my men around the room.

"We need to head East. Understood?"

"Yes sir."

                       "Recarsi."
