They knew you were depressed,
it was as simple as that.
It was stated on your record and you had bought your medication along with you,
Lucifer and Satan always reminded you when to take it,
which you were grateful for.
But they never seemed to fully understand or grasp the amount of pain you were going through.
Some days,
you didn't want to eat or leave your room,
sometimes not even shower,
and they just scolded you.

"MC, your health is important."

"What do you mean you don't want to shower?!
Unhygienic much,
dont touch my face until you're washed!"

"Why dont you just try this?
It tastes good, if that's what you're worried about,
I promise."

You understood that their words came from a good place really,
but they never came off as sincere to you.
It made you feel more like a burden:
Belphegor had made you feel like a burden,
most of all.
You can still remember the pain,
how much blood had drained from your body,
the fall you had taken from the top of the stairs down to the entrance flooring.
How his words had rung through your head,
every night and every day,
almost taunting you still.

"You're a useless,
low life human being,
you mean nothing to me.
How pathetic are you,
not even fighting back,
hm?
Look at me,
I want to watch your pitiful life drain from your eyes."

No one understood why you'd cower away whenever he entered a room,
in fact you'd be met with even more questions and a few times the demons had taken offence to your responses.
It hurt,
feeling to unwanted and undesired.
You felt that they only started caring about you since they discovered you were a descendant of Lillith.
Now,
you were at your wits end.
Maybe youd reunite with Simeon and Luke in the Celestial realm,
who knows?
But you couldn't stay here a minute longer.

"Mc, stop being so ridiculous and just get up."

"Dont push your plate away,
if you do that one more time,
you'll be met with punishment.
Understood?"

"Maybe I should've killed you when I had the chance, hmm?"

"Stupid normie,
you think you're so special,
huh?
Well,
you're not."

Their words were like knives to your heart.
You had helped them to rebuild their family,
to rekindle with humans again,
to feel something more than their sins,
you had accepted them for who they were.
Yet they treated you as if you were so insignificant to them,
probably because they knew they could kill you and replace you in a snap.
Even if they joked about it,
surely they still knew how much their words would impact such a tiny,
sensitive human like yourself...
right?

"Yah, human!
Cant believe I still have to watch over you,
you've been in this program for what,
months now?
Yet ya still can't take care of yourself?"

Practically robotically,
you dragged the chair behind you,
placing it directly under your ceiling fan.
Your door was locked and your sleeves were rolled up,
exposing your cut and bruised forearms.
You were almost skeletal,
your collarbones popping out so easily yet delicately,
your fingernails tinted purple and your wrists boney.
Constellations of love and joy that had once resided in your eyes were now gone,
faded,
to another galaxy.
The thick and already knotted rope was held in your light grip,
as you stepped into the stool,
dragging the thick hoop up to tie it to the fan.

"I told you we shouldnt have gone ahead with the program,
I opposed it from the start.
Now we're stuck with this idiotic human."

Pulling on the rope,
you were sure it was strong enough to carry you.
Not like you weighed much at this point,
anyways.

"MC, do you really need to eat that much today?
Normally you wouldnt even finish half a plate..."

Gulping,
you put your head through the rope,
this was it.
How you were going to go.
You would save them the burden of looking out for you,
the burden of making sure you took your medicine on time,
the burden of making sure you woke up on time,
showered and washed regularly...
you'd save them so much trouble now.

"You've been on medication for years now yet you still cant remember when to take them?
Such a stupid thing,
aren't you, MC?"

A loud THUD rang through the empty house,
and your feet dangled freely,
the breeze hitting your body from the ajar window.
You had your peace now,
and so did they,
or so you had thought.

[7:11 am]

"Where's Lord Diavolo?!
He'll know what to do,
one of you, please-"

Lucifer' voice rang out,
louder than Mammon and Levi's cries.
Yet not one brother moved,
knowing it was too late.
You were gone,
gone from this world and hopefully somewhere better.
Somewhere safer.

"H-human!
This is a joke, please-"

"S-she's gone..."

Beel silently cried,
his words coming out in a squeak as he clung into Belphie,
who looked on at your corpse with a blank expression.

"I guess we went too far, huh?
It's my fault.
They're never coming back-"

His voice was for once filled with sincerity,
as he watched on at Asmodeus and Lucifer crying by your side.

"MC! You cant just just go like this,
we were meant to go out shopping together, right?
I need you!
You can't go!
Not like this!"

The fifth born was hysterical over your body,
crying into your chest and his arms around both of your sides,
clutching your body tightly against his,
not wanting anyone else near you.
He was nothing without you,
the you who had seen him for beyond a sexual being and beyond lust.
Secretly,
he hoped that if he held you tight enough,
you'd come back to him:
to them.

But you never did.
You never could.

And they couldn't understand,
nor fathom,
why you would just up and go from them.
Satan knelt next to you and clutched your hand,
holding it in a small embrace like it was a rose,
an exotic flower of some sorts.
Slowly he brought it to his face,
as more and more tears welled up in his eyes.

"We will save you.
And see you again.
Rest well for now,
but you'll be bought back to us soon,
dove."

With those words,
he planted a soft kiss against your forehead.
He was determined to have you back into him and his brothers' lives again,
whether that meant looking through millions of books for a solution or trying to bribe witches of higher magic into giving you a second life.

Whether that moment would be several millennia away of a week away,
all 7 demons knew that they would get you back into their embraces again,
no matter the potion or money needed to do so.
