[11:00 pm]

In your own little world,
you sighed as you squatted down next to the puddle,
balancing your umbrella above you,
battling against the ferocious wind.
Your hair blew around frantically,
taking hit after hit,
all whilst admiring the rain as it heavily plummeted from the sky and crashed against the stone ground.
Your white clothes were completely soaked,
clinging to your every curve,
feeling heavy as you steadied yourself to your feet.

Wrapping an arm around yourself in an effort to secure some warmth,
you walked through the rain and mud,
trying to keep your eyes opened.
Everything seemed fuzzy:
yet you could still make out the varieties of flowers that rustled aggressively in the wild wind,
watching as you walked by at the droplets when they collided with the delicate petals in mere milliseconds.

The sinking feeling in your heart was still there,
though,
and you didn't want to return home.
Not yet.
So you wandered through the paths that looped through various trees,
listening intently to the raindrops as they pitter-pattered against the leaves above and around you.
Your umbrella still stood tall and proud in your grasp,
shielding your eyes from the water.
It was a beautiful scene:
a wet and ferocious one,
yet still appeared to be as beautiful as a hot,
sunny day.

"Beel. I miss you..."
Absentmindedly you muttered the sentence aloud,
your right hand subconsciously moving over to trace his pact mark that resided on your left forearm.
It had been weeks since
you had seen him:
maybe that's what has caused the sinking feeling in your chest that wont go no matter what you do.

Continuing on your way,
battling against the winds that got worse and worse,
you arrived at your safe place.
A stone bridge lurked not too far ahead,
hidden behind cherry blossom trees that would normally be vibrant with colour and warmth:
all colour was drained from them,
their petals had been shaken off and were now devoid of colour,
the dark branches shaking and cracked against the wind.
Yet you progressed,
approaching the bridge -
was that someone over there?
Leaning over the edge and staring into the water below?

"B-Beel...?"
As you paced slowly towards the bridge,
you recognised the orange hair:
it was him.
The so-familiar demon turned at your voice,
his hair being flung around wildly,
and he opened his arms for your embrace.
Without a second thought,
you threw your umbrella to the floor and ran into his giant embrace,
your wet hair clinging to Beel's shoulders and your own body,
as he swung your around.
As he lowered you down so your feet touched the floor again,
you muttered softly against his chest;

"My safe place..."
