He had used you,
just like that.
You gave into his words and pitied him as any mortal would:
afterall, humans are
rsthing caring creatures,
he knew this too well.

Yet he couldn't control the pit in his stomache and he couldn't ignore it anymore,
the guilt had been eating him up.
Quite frankly,
he felt bad.
You had fallen into his trap and he had killed you.
But you forgave him,
for what?

So now,
he watches from afar,
as you lock lips with him.
A lover from the human world.
The atmosphere was tense when you arrived back to the House of Lamentation,
you were unaware however that all 7 brothers were now informed of your relationship above of hell.

It broke him,
shattered him.
At first,
Belphegor tried to brush it off,
tried to tell himself you weren't that important.
He had told you he loved you not too long ago:
he felt a fool.
He should've noticed the look of panic and uncomfort in your eyes
as you simply smiled at him and brushed the confession off.

So now,
he stood from afar,
watching as you conversed
with Solomon and Luke.
The pit in his stomach was back -
but it wasn't the same.
There was a small,
green,
emotion eating and crawling up from within him:
jealously and anger.
He clenched his fists by his sides as he watched you,
eyes following your every movement.
He despised your being now,
the same being he had said he loved only a few months ago.

Maybe he could try to trick you again?
Manipulate and gaslight you?
Yet whenever the idea brushed through his head,
he felt sick:
he couldn't resort to those tactics again.
However when the idea of murder passed by:
he was thrilled.
He remembered the rush he had felt when he had done it the first time,
hearing the thump of your body against the cold flooring,
watching your warm blood ooze from your body.
And,
by ridding of you for good,
he could have you to himself.

And so,
the third of December,
as he walked to your room slowly in the early hours of the morning,
a sinister smile plastered over his face as he looked over your small and sleeping frame:
he felt nothing but the thrill and delight of it all.
