Chapter 18 | Games and broken bones.

"OKAY, y/n! Turn off the TV. We have to go practice, c'mon!" Amelia sounded like she was in a rush to go somewhere.

I was looking at my phone, not receiving any more texts or calls from Feitan, "I wonder if he's okay.. My fortune said some spiders might die and the rest split up.."

"Yeah, and it also said 'your beloved will be okay', so don't worry." Amelia said, slapping the phone out of my hand with her paw, "Now, find me an empty park that nobody goes to."

"Why an empty park?" I questioned.

"Nobody can hear me, you'd be talking to yourself and a cat that can perform NEN." Amelia said.

"R-right.. right." I responded. I carried Amelia out and walked to the nearest park.

"You can't drive? You're like 18 or 19." Amelia said laughing.

"Shut up", I whispered, "I failed the stupid test like 4 times. Not my fault."

We arrived at the park and soon began training.

"Alright, y/n. How long can you hold nen?" Amelia asked.

"Uhm.. like- 4-5 hours? I've never really tried." I said.

"Alright, you'll stand here and perform your nen for 5 hours" Amelia said, sitting down on the grass.

- Time skip -

3 hours had gone by and I began to sweat.

"A-amelia.. can't I stop now?? 3 hours isn't enough for you?" I said, panting.

"Nope, how about you drop and give me 10 while holding your nen!" Amelia said, bravely.

"See, why the hell should I do as you say?" I yelled towards Amelia, "You're just a dumb cat with the same nen as me."

"Fine, go home if you wish, but remember you'll regret it later on." Amelia said, walking away.

I felt kind of bad. Amelia had her time to come and help me, but that's the least of my worries right now. I'm going home tomorrow to see Feitan and the troupe again.

I walked back home and saw a note on the door with a cat paw on it. I opened the door to my house, went to my room and opened the note.

'Alright, y/n. I know you're going home to your precious Feitan tomorrow. Either you open the window to let me in, or I'll just go back to the Troupe. Who knows what they'll do to me.'

I looked to the side and saw Amelia sitting outside of my window. I opened the window and the cat came inside.

I got up to feed her, and then went to take a shower. I still had some blood from my fight with Killua about a week ago. I hopped out of the shower and went to bed. I felt Amelia jump on the bed and lay besides me.

- Next day -

"OoOohhooo, finally going back HOME. Amelia, are you excited to meet the troupe?" I said, gleefully.

"I don't know. I have a bad feeling." Amelia said, walking in circles around me.

I put my backpack on and grabbed Amelia. We went to the airport, and we were already on our way home.

"Hey, Amelia.. Why did you say you had a bad feeling?" I questioned the cat, whispering so others wouldn't hear me.

"Well, I have your ability and senses but so much more heightened. The other day I had only felt feelings from others that were special to you.. And that fortune got to me." Amelia said, trying to laugh it off.
