My degree got busy, and I went on holiday, but I'm back! Lots of cute moments; however,

Only mentions, but if that makes you uncomfortable, skip the second Sam and Davina section.

Places around the city belonged to certain crowds. The church belonged to Marcel and the vampires, even if The Pethane were hijacking it for a few days; the Cemetery belonged to the coven witches – the Cauldron MJ and The Quarter.

Freya claimed St Louis Cathedral as her place away from The Compound.

Across the clocktower, she'd lain out a collection of candles, smoke slowly appearing from the sage wicks, a map in the middle of it all. A map and a shot. Her finger graced over Morocco, chanting, turning focused, second hand drifting into the pile of crystals on her left.

Something shifted.

She downed the shot.

When her eyes opened, she was sitting in a carefully decorated house overlooking a city in Morocco, Rebekah's new body, Eva, opposite her, putting her own shot glass down.

"I told you this was better than exchanging stuffy old letters."

"Well," Freya mused in agreement, "A drink with my sister beats sire line drama any day."

Rebekah poured them both a second one, having found the spell in one of the books MJ had recommended. She'd been kept quite well informed by both Freya and MJ, meaning she knew what Freya was referring to, and she was not at all sad about missing the first sires arriving.

"Lucien has always been a pain in the ass," Rebekah summarised, "Though, he pales compared to that stuck-up twit Tristan."

"Oh, don't forget about The Strix," Freya mused with fake enjoyment, "There's more of them in The Quarter every day."

The rising vampire population felt like an invasion, and based on what Pri had told them about in New York, it basically was.

"I may yet join you in the flesh."

"I would love the company, though I might not be here much longer," Rebekah admitted, "I have a meeting to get MJ one of her specialist ingredients later today, and then I'm done with my list."

Freya smiled happily, "And the family is almost united."

Finn's spirit sitting on her neck.

Rebekah shifted, "How are you managing with them?"

"Well," Freya let her mood drop, "Niklaus and Elijah are on intermittent speaking terms."

Rebekah started pouring them another shot.

"Which I've decided to consider progress."

"Just wait, love," She wasn't bothered, "The weather will change."

"Kol continues to act like he doesn't mind their bickering."

Rebekah shrugged, "If Floare are involved, they'll be the only thing he cares about."

"I don't trust them," Freya admitted, "Or the New York girl."

"Maci is – "

"Not her – though, I don't like her much either," Freya was more focused on, "Pria Yadav. She's using MJ's affections towards her."

"To keep Klaus from killing her," Rebekah could assume, "Fair do's to her."

"Still," Her glass was put down, "Shows awareness and willingness to."
