41. 𝑳𝒆𝒂𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈

Taehyung stands in his office, clenches his jaw, and hands in his pockets. He was in such a good mood and was going to tell a piece of good news Yuna but the scene he witnessed earlier made him forget everything.

He walks back and forth. His mind is clouded with unsolved thoughts and he's trying to connect all the dots. He calls for his secretary, standing in front of the wall-to-wall windows of his office, he looks at the passing cars and takes a deep breath

" Mrs Wang I need every detail of Mr Park Jimin "

He turns around and pass a sharp glare that was enough for his secretary to gulp nervously

" Right now! " He orders

" Yes! "

A knock on the door catches their attention. He didn't know he would have a conversation about a guy with his wife.

" come in! "

His gaze lands on the feminine figure walking in the office. The silence in the room is making her more nervous. She knows how difficult it's going to be to explain what's happening. She's not confident that he'll believe her.

She walks in and her breath stops to see Taehyung's stare piercing through her soul. It seems like the surroundings blackout for them.

" Good morning, Mrs Kim "Taehyung's secretary bows and waits for any of them to say anything. Her gaze shifts from Yuna to Taehyung. She notices the tension.

" Taehyung... "

He closes his eyes tightly and instead of looking at her, he looks away. Mrs Wang being the third wheel runs to the door to leave this room this instant

Yuna's heartbeat accelerates she runs to hold his arm, pulling him towards him

" No... Please... Don't look away. We were just having a conversation- "

"Mrs Wang! "

His secretary stops on the doorstep and turns around "Y-yes? "

" Inform Mr Park that we are cancelling our deal and don't want to work with him anymore "

Panic rushes in Yuna. She's feeling guilty all of a sudden. She doesn't want to lose this contract because she saw how much Taehyung worked for this. If he terminated this contract, it will be a big loss. She can't forget how happy he was when he first told her about this project

" No! Taehyung... Don't do this "

She stands in front of him and gives a little pull to his collar to grab his attention. But he keeps looking away

" Taehyung, If you did this- "

His gaze instantly captures her and he whispers "You won't be able to see him every day, right? That's what killing you "

She shook her head, ignoring the tears stinging her eyes

" You're getting it all wrong... "

Their eyes lock and Taehyung shuts his eyes immediately as he steps away from her

" I'm afraid I will forget everything If I look into those eyes again "

He turns around and orders

" Mrs Wang! Call Mr Jung and inform him that we accept their offer and that we are coming for a meet-up today. Tell all the important candidates to grab their stuff within 2 hours. We are leaving "

" Yes, Sir! " She bows and leaves the room.

Taehyung grabs his coat and walks past Yuna, ignoring the tears trilling down her cheeks
