You spent most of your flight sleeping.

You hadn't expected the terrible headache you were going to get up in the sky, and the unwelcome thoughts in your head made it worse.

When you couldn't bear it any more, you put on some headphones and drifted off to sleep.

The pilot calling out that you had reached Korea was what woke you up. The first thing you did was look out the window to the city filled with sky scrapers and bright lights.

The process of boarding off and getting out the airport was a blur, you were jittery at the thought of finally meeting Chan.

Going through official procedures and getting your luggage was a breeze. It was times like this when you were grateful for your mom to have taught you to read, write and speak Korean.

Once you'd grabbed your one big suitcase and carry on, you walked out of the airport. Your heart racing as you looked around at the crowds of people waiting for their loved ones. Your eyes itched for a familiar face, and you were about to pull out your phone to text the only person you really knew here when..

You saw him.

He was wearing all black.

A black hoodie covering his head, a black mask covering his face. The only pop of color were the soft pink flowers in his hands, after looking at them for a while, you realised what kind they were.

Tulips. Your favorite.

Tears rushed to your eyes as his gaze met yours, his eyes crinkling up in a smile.

Without a second thought, you ran to him, your suitcase dragging behind you helplessly.

Upon reaching him, you let go of your suitcase and embraced his body with such force that he stumbled back slightly, before regaining his footing and holding on to you, tightly.

"You're here" Chan whispered, breathing in your scent, "I cant believe you're finally here."

"I am" You said, smiling into his black sweatshirt. His hands were wrapped around your shoulders

Neither one of you pulled back. After the stressful few weeks Chan had, with a packed schedule of producing, filming and practicing for the new comeback and the terrible terrible past 2 days you had;

The two of you needed this, to be in each other's arms. Where even though it was the first time, you felt safe.

After a solid 2 minutes, Chan slowly pulled back and stepped back from you.

"These are for you" He said, handing you the soft pink flowers.

"Thank you, they're so pretty." Your face turned red as you took them.

He laughed at your flustered state, before grabbed your suitcase. "Come on, my car is that way."

The two of you walked to his car, which was only a few steps away

"How was your flight?"

"It was tiring, but its all worth it now" You looked up at him, just a few inches of distance between the two of you "So what hotel am i staying at?"

"Hotel?" Chan scoffed, opening up the trunk of his car and putting your suitcase in. "You're living with me. There's no way im letting you be alone where your psycho father could find you."

He got into the drivers seat, leaving you with a racing heart. No one had cared so much about you before. It felt different and good. You wiped a tear away from your eyes before it got the chance to escape. You opened the door of the passenger's seat and got in.

"Im.. living with you?'' You asked as he turned the ignition on, you tucked your seatbelt in place.

"Yeah. You can sleep in my room, i'll bunk with Changbin. Besides, i wanna introduce you to the members." He said, taking off his mask and giving you a soft smile.

Your breath hitched as you finally saw his entire face, you averted your gaze to avoid him from seeing your flustered state.

"Im so nervous about this entire thing" You replied, turning to look at him once you'd composed yourself.

"You're going to be just fine" He said, giving you an encouraging nod as you turned to look outside the window.

Admiring the view of Korean streets zipping past you. Chan was blissfully unaware of how your heart was racing, or rather, you were blissfully unaware of the way his heart was racing.

Ever since you had first touched him, wrapping your arms around his waist and nestling your head on his shoulder, he had felt electricity spark throughout his body. Just like you.

"God, I forgot how beautiful Korea was" You said, resting your head back on the seat.

Chan turned momentarily to look at you. Your hair fell onto your face, and the sunlight coming from the window gave you a faint glow.

You looked stunning, but there were other things that he could notice, how your eyes were tired and sad, how you had been fidgeting with the ring on your finger and especially, the purple bruise on your wrist.

"Y/N..what did your dad do?" He asked, his voice radiating worry.

You hummed, tilting your head slightly to look at him. "Not much"

He stared at you, in complete disbelief. The car had stopped, you noticed, because there was traffic.

"Not much!?" Chan breathed out,"Whats that on your wrist?"

You turned to look at your wrist, and covered it with your other hand out of reflex.

Chan clenched his jaw, shifting the gear lever. Your gaze fell on his hand, and you tried to stop yourself from thinking about how attractive it looked.

"It doesn't matter" You began, "He cant do anything worse."

"Why- why is he such an asshole?"

"I dont know. I guess i never met his expectations."

"No. Thats bullshit. You're an amazing daughter. You're talented and well accomplished."

Every word Chan said, made your heart fuller and your skin tingle.

"If anything.." Chan finished, "He's an angry old man."

You laughed, turning to look outside the window. "Yes. Yes he is."

"Doesn't matter. You dont need to face him ever again." Chan said, giving you a charming smile. "And also.."

He pulled off his seatbelt, "We're here."
