ego was explaining to the players on how that some of them will have to play as midfielders, defenders and even goalkeepers. aryu and tokimitsu began to say things but ego being ego, just tells them both to shut the fuck up and watch their tongues as well as saying that he wasn't a moron.

(name) rolled his eyes at ego's sassiness but he decides maybe it would be best if he actually listened a bit for once, so he starts to listen on what ego has to say, "the formation of the blue lock will center around the following six names that (name) will call out. given your overall evaluations as of this moment, these individuals rank as top six."

(name) raises an eyebrow when he heard that he was the one announcing the top six. not like that he cared though but a few familiar and also unfamiliar faces glanced at him and soon all eyes were on (name) as (name) sighed quietly and began to announce the top six.

(name) went to the front for all to see and his eyes glanced around for a moment while ego urged (name) to go on. (name) soon started to say the first rank, "rank one, itoshi rin." isagi looked at rin as rin walked up to the front near (name) with a slight unsurprised look like he knew rin was going to be rank one.

"rank two, shidou ryusei." (name) said and cringed slightly as he called out that zesty demon's name. clearly, still not over the fact he might have to deal with him and sae later on. shidou smirked as he walked up front and took a look at rin.

"so that's the dude who's number one?" shidou said in a sing-song voice as rin side eyed shidou. (name) rolled his eyes when he saw the two boy's glared at each other rather harshly. (name) just decided to go on with the third rank as he cleared his throat and spoke, "rank three, karasu tabito." the raven haired male smirked as he walked to the front where rin and shidou stood.

(name) didn't really recognize karasu but he took a look at him before announcing rank four, "rank four, otoya eita." (name) said and all otoya said was "sup" with a bored expression as (name) said the fifth rank, yukimiya kenyu.

(name)'s eyes brightened up slightly when he finally gets to announce someone that he was actually familiar with other then rin, "rank six, nagi seishiro." nagi just shrugged and went forward. he was quite clingy in (name)'s opinion since he saw nagi scooted closer to him but not like he cared. it wasn't such a big deal.

yukimiya began to question ego on why he was fifth instead of first place which ego responds with that only rin and shidou were able to score against world five and he took into consideration on how many goals a player scored in the first selection and finally he used his judgement and (name)'s opinion.

earlier today, the two boys discussed and bantered with each other. like classroom debates honestly on who would be the top six players. ego didnt care what (name) said but he took (name)'s opinion and thought into consideration. a tiny bit.

"why don't our insufferable scholar explain the next part?" ego said and all eyes were back on (name). ego smirked behind the screen and leaned back on his chair. he got a bit lazy to explain so might as well get (name) to do it.

so that's what (name) did, he cleared his throat as he started to explain. "the top six will be separated into pairs by descending order and shall be assigned a, b, c ranks to make three teams. remaining twenty nine players will decided by themselves, which teams they want to join. they will be added to their chosen teams in randomized groups of three."

"then each of these teams will play against each other, five on five. but the members of the top six will be playing multiple games but the remaining twenty nine only play one time. with a position as japan-u20's team on the line, it's time for your tryouts." (name) said but paused when he saw nagi pouting slightly as he was lazy and didn't want to play multiple games.

(name) just sighed and shook his head before continuing on, "three times nine makes 27 people so a team would be a person short. so as an exception the runner-up to top six will play two matches. rank seven, bachira meguru." (name) finished off and bachira's eyes widened slightly in surprised before he smirked. "aye aye (name)."

ego took it from there and explains that the top six will proceed to a different room first. (name) and rin glanced at the door that ego opened up for the top six to enter while he began to say somethings why the top six, along with (name) following behind them go through the door.

the door shuts behind (name) as he now stood in a room with the top six. it was a bit awkward but nagi sat down beside (name) most of the time as he didn't knew anyone there that well other then (name). honestly though, (name) enjoyed nagi's company as well as rin's since he was standing beside him and nagi with his hands in his pockets.

they all wait patiently for ego as ego was talking to the other twenty nine players that weren't top six. they stood and sat in silence till ego's face appeared on screen. when ego appeared he started to speak, "by fighting to come this far, all of you have undoubtedly proven your place as blue lock's elite."

"i have tuned each of the teams a, b and c, with the pairs that'll allow the most theoretical attack power. show me new attacks that you couldn't do alone. think of the others as tools to become the best in the world. and don't you dare have your position taken by someone who isn't in the top six. you all stand at the very peak of blue lock." ego said with a dark look on his face which showed that he was actually serious about this.

"i want to see you all rise up to the challenge." ego finishes off then the screen turns black.
